Napoleon_XIX: I'm thinking of picking up Torchlight and Arcanum when they pass by. Anyone have any experience of these two, or indeed any others in a similar vein to recommend?
Arcanum is great. I've played it through a couple of times. nothing out there quite like it

ssokolow: I might as well mention that, while I'm not willing to pay for these games at their listed prices, I am curious about them:
Aarklash: Legacy
American McGee's Grimm
Battle Worlds: Kronos
Race the Sun
Rise of the Triad (2013)
SiN Gold
I don't know about the other games, but Aarklash Legacy and BW: Kronos are both worth the asking price for this sale.
I see we've picked up the pace with this sale now.

Good thing I don't have mood for old-school FPS's right now; otherwise Painkiller would undoubtedly tempt me. I remember having a lot of fun when it hit the shelves almost a decade ago, still wonder what happened to my DVD with it...
Round 2, game 48: Tue, 13 May 2014 12:10:42 UTC: Book Of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles, The - 80% off ($3.99) - 200

This one might take a while.
Oh no.....
Curiously, if the first page list is accurate, this one hasn't had the number of copies doubled.

ssokolow: ...
...and I have two GOG gift keys that I'm willing to trade:
Dungeon Keeper Gold (x1)
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (x1)
Both where freebies, you won't have much luck trading them. It's nicer to just give them away.
So when is Arcanum coming up ?

Probably powers that be saw how slow it was originally maybe ;)

1. I own over half the GOG catalog, over 700 games across all the DRM-free online stores, over 600 CD-ROMs from pre-GOG days (albeit, with quite a bit of GOG overlap), dozens of PSX, N64, and SNES cartridges, about half a dozen PS2 and Gameboy games, and countless diskettes.

2. I've only played a tiny fraction of what I've bought and the same pattern also holds true for used novels.

3. They don't appear interesting enough at first glance to justify making an exception.

I have no incentive to buy them outside my comfort zone.

Torchlight is a good H&S. Gameplay is classic (Diablo 1 & 2) but entertaining, music are really great.I don't like a lot of H&S games (I like Titan Quest, Diablo 1, Path of Exile and... Torchlight) and I'm not a specialist. But Torchlight gave me good play moments and I like to launch it again occasionnally :) It's not perfect (it has some flaws, but also its goods points I'm loving), but for me it was a good game (but I remember that not every fan of H&S games liked it).
Waiting to see if FTL pops up again. I'll be pretty happy to call the sale quits there.

BUT NOT BEFORE.

Some of them aren't doubled anymore. They reduced the copies for certain titles (might have started with Lone Survivor)
