LynetteC: I got stuck into Witcher last night as I think I should at least try to finish No. 1 (maybe even No. 2 as well before February), although I'm considering trading my Steam version for the GOG one
Check your PMs. I hope I've read your post right. :)

Tarnicus: I'm in the same position LynetteC and have decided not to purchase ANY more games or accept ANY more gifts until I get some played and possibly even completed.
I read in the other post you started Legend of Grimrock a short while back.
How do you like it so far?

txnca: Why thank you!, thank you very much! ;-) Just to show you how sick I am, Steam has Galactic Civ 1 Ultimate and Galactic Civ 2 Ultimate on sale so I bought them as I have been wanting them for awhile. I then come over here and find that Galactic Civ 1 Ultimate is here!!!! Well, what do I do? I just bought it again and heck I added Lifeless Planet just for the heck of it!! I am just a sick, sick bastard!

BTW, it takes one to know one! lol
Ho! Ha ha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Thrust!
Ah, this beauty of a thread is still alive! So I just want to say "Hi" to all fellow GOGins, who made the Insomnia Days such a great experience - Thanks alot!

So, where is the Countdown Clock to the next run? ;-)

Know that Stardock is developing Galactic Civ 3 and should be releasing the beta soon.

You may want to hold on purchasing Civ3 yet

I mail to see if they will release the title on GOG.

I wonder if I buy from the dev early I can choose it to come to GOG or not

I have only dabbled in it with the premade characters and will start again using my own. So far it has been very enjoyable and really does a good job of recreating that ominous "what is around the corner?" feeling that I got from playing Eye of the Beholder :)

Brad Wardell has, unfortunately, made it painfully clear they intend to poison it with Steamworks, and release nowhere else. A shame for sure, not really anything we can do. It's his game so he gets to decide whose money he doesn't want. I'm just keeping my head up and looking forward to GalCiv IV, hopefully it won't be locked into Steam.

It was fun, wasn't it?

I found that having a tablet came in very handy as you can carry it ANYWHERE, if you c atch my drift! lol Not to mention it was handy to have it sitting at the side of my desk at work where I could sneak a peek and snag a code or ten when the boss wasn't looking! :-)
A crazy thing happened this weekend; I actually downloaded, installed and...PLAYED...a game I got during the sale! Madness, I know.

I picked up a super-affordable, but not cheaply made, off-brand PS3 (PC compatible) controller and dug into Valdis Story: Abyssal City. The production value on this Kickstarter project is incredible; the character animations, gameplay mechanics, and level designs would give any modern 2D Castlevania game a run for its money. I barely scratched the surface and am eagerly looking forward to playing some more when I get home from work.

Much thanks to Grargar for trading his extra copy with me. I let the game go by in the second round and missed it in the third, so I am very appreciative of your generosity. I hope you are enjoying the games I traded in exchange!

I inherited an iPad from my wife when she upgraded to a Galaxy 3, but it really wasn't until this sale that I started using it. It was an indispensable tool to maximize my ability to keep up with the sales as they came through.

Yes indeed, my tablet got plenty of use during the sale! I had recently bought a bed-desk off of Etsy and I used it to keep the tablet propped beside while eating meals. Thus I could follow the sale even when away from the computer. :)

Have fun mate and when you have finished the game, make sure to tell us all your impressions on this thread. Unfortunately, I haven't touched Dangerous Dave or Hocus Pocus yet, but they will be perfect games for the summer.
