Momo1991: Indeed! ;-)

What began with a couple of pink-tutu gifts got a bit out of control (what else is new ;-p)...

Thanks! Now pass those chips over here, please ;-p

mc_leod: chips?
Are Nachos with cheese already out?
Ich glaube, sie haben mehr von einem käse problem als ich!

I trusted Google Translate for this so it probably sounds more like Welsh...

Momo1991: Well we could've had Cheese Biscuits but Foxworks has cornered the market on those already ;-p

Sachys: I still have one... nobody wants it...
from this year? ;-)

IAmSinistar: I know, let's have an Insomnia themed giveaway!
IAmSinistar, I had a brief moment of weakness with this sale of yours but I was able to resist - collectoritis has a way of sneaking up if you're not careful...

I get what you mean its not too wrong ;-)
the "mehr" is more but in this case bigger means grösser is the better word

Better would be

Ich glaube, sie haben ein größeres Käseproblem als ich

and a little bit more personally/between known friends because we know each other several cheesetoasts now:

Ich glaube, du hast ein größeres Käseproblem als ich

Thank you for the clarification!

I love the German language (and also your country) and have just decided that I'm going to learn it.

I've been to Germany four times but only for quick visits, so there was no real chance to get into the language (what I learned I've forgotten), but now is the right time to get to grips with it properly.

It might be blasphemy to say it here, but there is more to life than computer games!

I think ill give it a try - i already considered myself one or two mustdos for anone to get my gift codes which are still here
but i think i will add them to sinistars to let things flow
but they should still try to thank me in a special way:
My idea was that i really had a laugh here,
i had a smile, sometimes a grin, sometimes i cried out
it was just pure fun
Anybody who gets my giveaways should try smiling for one week to his fellow human beings
so have a smile to your paperboy in the morning have a smile to the Busdriver, have a smile to the waitress
even have a smile to your boss or foes - live one week really conscious of having a smile for your oppostie

Sounds to insane?

Who said jehova!

Ha dont blame me then - when your tongue gets stiffness german is not the easiest one
especially our strange third persons declinations - it could be so nice and clear in english you yours etc.
in german Deine Ihre Eure Unsere arrrgh..

I once heard everyone who has learned latin will have a much easier access to half of the european languages
I must say now im sorry that i hadnt learned that or more french - i liked to learn english in school it came to me easy but of course i have now not always a chance to practise - i think im ok with that but i had also already a year french (too long ago to say much more then Quelle heure est il) And i also really try to get at least some polite sentences in the foreign language when im in holiday.
Spain would be a good language to learn to get not only trough spain but also have a easier life for traveling in southamerica i think.

edit: where in Germany did you stay? Just done Business or maybe for a Festival?

mc_leod: edit: where in Germany did you stay? Just done Business or maybe for a Festival?
I had a friend in the UK who was half German and I went to visit his mother's family in Detmold. I remember visiting Herman the German (Hermannsdenkmal) and meeting some really good people. And one very nice girl named Claudia ;)

That was my first two visits. Visits 3 and 4 were with an artist friend to hang his work at the Kunstverein in Unna where we drank a lot of Alt and got into Germany's art scene.

Four really good trips.

Sounds you had a good time then ;-)
Beer and Claudias seems not the baddest pair
Never was in Detmold or Unna just in Münster North of Unna, very nice town even with a small lake with a sailing club in the middle of it. But for learning german this area is the best - no slang just correct plain german.
Here in Bavaria or up in the north in Hamburg you will learn hefty slang but no german ;-)

Me was just once in London and i really enjoyed it, always said must come back but still not yet done.
Were still more on the "checking now the far far away countrys - London Paris and Rome can wait when were older and can also be done on a weekend ;-)

I used to live in London but don't live too far away now - let me know if you are coming (even for a weekend) and I can show you some good sights. There's a lot to be seen and some good food, if you know where to look ;-)
