Too much cheese = indigestion...

Cheese = 1 ;)

Amazing film, mc_leod. It should be on the carriculum of every school in the world!

Thanks!

xjay73: Ooh, thanks for the patch info, +1. And thanks for the suggestions too. :-)

Fortunately, the dilemma has an unexpected, albeit brief, solution. It is not uncommon for truck stops to have wireless internet access for a hourly/daily charge, but most of them are so painfully slow and have such spazzy connectivity issues that paying for them feels like watching one of those really (really) slow toilets flushing, hypnotically slowly spinning around.... and around... and around... and around... Unless you actually go *inside* the truck stop and plug in directly with an ethernet cable, it isn't worth it -- and I really hate doing that, since there's almost always some schmo who wants to look over your shoulder to see what you're doing, or worse, ask if they can use your laptop to check their email. *bleh*

Anyway, after a short drive today to get close to where I'm delivering tomorrow (hello to anyone in the Houston area!), I am parked at a truck stop that, through an additional service, allows me to hook-up directly through an ethernet cable out in the truck! So I can download some of these games today and bury my nose in good new excitement for the rest of the day! WOOT! :-)
Even if youre actualy off on duty:
Good to see someone really have found his way - may we ask what youre getting to houston?
Frozen Cargo? Goods?

Cheese?

Couldnt resist ;-)

A friend of mine is driving here in Germany/Europe but he said times getting harder, very restricitve laws and especially here in europe jamed highways with less and less time to deliver..

Ha I tought that would catch you,
and they could also do practical courses of it - would maybe bring more outcome then trying to give
badly brought-up punks lessons in higher mathematics ;-)

Bah, there is always one partybreaker ;-)
As long as there is still old beer in the tap (or cheese in the fridge)
no one is allowed to go...

But to be honest im actually glad to get a healthier dosis of sleep now
And now as there is just you and me here: iam also glad that i had and have vacation at that time
I already plan about a next vacation in autumn.

All that talk has made me hungry.

I don't have any Stilton here but I've got some Gorgonzola (not for long).

Hi Stilton. I'm still thinking about the best way to find 'em a good home. I'll make sure they're freshly laundered first though! lol

The first word that came to mind was "crusty"....
Not asking seems like the wisest course of action.

Crusty is too descriptive...oh, the imagery......

zillatain: *snip*
I know this post is getting a little long and depressing, but I have one more thing. I was going to track down info about the sale, primarily all of Pidgeot's data he collected and make a list of statistics for the rounds. Times quickest/slowest; average sales per minute, start/end times; money GOG racked in; and many more stats. I'll contact Pidgeot and see if he's okay with that, or if he wanted to do something himself. If okay, I'll probably start a new thread with the data when I finish it and provide a link here. Now if there is someone else anyone knows about who is/will do this, I'll...well I'm still going to do it, but keep it to myself.

I really like this community...almost as much as the only other forum I participate in. They don't talk nearly as much. Ha!

stg83: That is a really great idea and I would really like to see all the statistics of this promo, if only to confirm that the Insomnia Promo is the most successful sales format for GOG which would then make a strong case for making this a biannual event. :)
I'm hoping to have some stats up hopefully in a week, but I know that there are others who are working on this as well and will probably have theirs up before mine.Though I think mine will have a few other minutiae that they might not think of. Though you never know. We'll see.
