Imagine the craziness if we all had a vent/teamspeak dedicated to GOG and the sales. o.o Sadly , wouldn't be much of a way to stop the trolls and all that

krisbeattie: I bought Tiny & Big because I mistook it for another game. Oh well, atleast it will speed up the process.
Which one did you think it was?
avatar
sedricm: Ha, I know how you feel, LaPtiteBete, I suspect many here will be suffering from "Keane withdrawal" when this actually IS all over, after we've all spent so much time/money and struggled so hard to stay awake to participate...
Hah! who'd have thought it? (I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry that I may have become ADDICTED TO KEANE in these last few days...anyone else there with me? lol!
Hmm. maybe after this is over we can start a support group,
Keaneaholics Anonymous?)

And yet, we probably don't have to worry too much, I am sure with the great success of this insomnia sale, the gog admins (or should I say the holy purveyors of Keane, lol) will make sure that, before too long,
Keane Will Rise Agaiiinnnnnnn, (to deprive us of sleep, food, and all of our worldly cares!)

EDIT: b/c all good cults have to have a resurrection narrative, right? ;) ;)
sigh.

ChozoTull: Best Shadowrun story incentive ever.

A cult of insomniac hackers always trying to push their caffeinated limits in shopaholic fits forcing the locks on corporate websites to trigger random sales.
Well dang. I didn't know anything about Shadowrun prior to this post, and I still don't know anything about the actual game except that I suddenly feel strongly compelled to go buy it.
+1 (though my wallet curses you)
This may take another hour!

Stilton: Your Nelson quote reminded me of another situation where famous words have been used humorously out of context.

Robert Lindsey (Citizen Smith) was in a play during some kind of summer festival in Stratford as part of a Shakespeare celebration. One day between shows he want for a walk in the town and saw a camping shop. It was just an ordinary camping shop, but what caught his eye was a sign in the window which said, "Now is the discount of our winter tents..."

Which I think is pretty clever ;)

Ixamyakxim: I've been laughing my ass off for the last five minutes. Thank you for that, and I also hate you because from this day forth, I'll have to enter every performance of Richard III ten minutes late.
I thought it was so clever - glad you enjoyed it ;)
Sigh. Took a long walk, ran some errands. Still Tiny and Big.

Somebody needs to make this a thing.

jalister: Is FTL really good? It's hard to tell from the screen shots and videos.

Telika: Some aspects are great but most of it is awesome.
Does that means Betrayal at Krondor/FTL have passed?
avatar
justanoldgamer: I just took one for the team after consulting the game card a few times.
I reset the router and did everything else again, no dice. XD Must be my having a satellite connection though I've never been pestered by the bear quite this long. Thank god nothing has come up that I want.

Disclaimer : what I said was a stupid (meaning AWESOME) idea for a tabletop shadowrun campaign (although i love SR and can't recommend any SR experience enough, tabletop or virtual)

But yeah, play some sessions with buddies if you can. It's such a fun rpg.

Good heavens, you said it. I've been on the computer for the better part of 24 of the last 36 hours...I think I need professional help.
I think I probably have to detach myself now...
ta ta!
Thanks again everyone.
