Ack. I thought I had Driftmoon. I just clicked on it to confirm when there was 7 left, and found out I didn't have it yet. Clicked buy and they were gone.

Edit - Nevermind, I do have it. Why does GOG not make it obvious when you own a game during sales?

Neverfree: Well, I don't suppose anyone has an extra Hammerwatch laying around? xD I'm starting to feel like I should have bought it, and tried it with some game I knew I wasn't going to buy... Pretty sure I told myself this even while I had Hammerwatch in there, LOL. What has this sale done to me...
Wish I did, it's a fab game. Perfect for the Gauntlet fans out there (even has a hidden tribute level).

Meanwhile, free Guild gift code just landed in my basket, boyee!

tcmsurfer: Without wanting to sound too beggy, does anybody have an extra copy of the Space Quest Pack? Missed it earlier.

DarkestVeil: I've got an extra copy
Check your PM, asked you there.
Wow, micromanaging a factory, what a prospect!

IAmSinistar: I suspected the system might be engineered this way. Still wondering though if the counter goes down at this point, or only when a checkout completes. If the former, then games could be undersold by people cancelling from the checkout. If the latter, then games could be oversold by the system honouring checkouts in progress even once all allocated items are sold.

My suspicion is the latter case.

eiii: I think I've seen the latter on one of the very slowly selling games. The counter did not decrease after pressing "Buy now". But I'm not sure.
I'm pretty sure the counter did not decrease after I clicked "Buy now" just to see if I will get a freebie and then cancelled the buy (it was during some slow selling games, just as you said).
The guild gold is an excellent game I've been playing this on and off for years. I always keep it installed on my pc.

Artoemius: How do I manage my playing time? Now, this is a good question. Actually, I totally suck at it!

So, I second the question. Especially about using play time as a reward. Is it a viable strategy at all? What if you give yourself a reward of 1 hour, and the game is too good to stop after 1 hour? Or even 10 hours. These things happened to me. :)
I've tried the reward thing and honestly it may have worked for me 33% of the time xD. I suck at accomplishing the small goals I give myself.

what I've tried is:

1- I make a list of things I've to accomplish through the day and if I do it all then I can play all the time I want (until the next day).
2- I put the playing time between tasks so it's a more immediate reward.

I'm sure this could work for some people, but for me not so much.
How is The Guild? What's it most similar too?

foxworks: You can have the next one ;-)

stg83: You guys are like the Abbot and Costello of gifting, giving away games faster then I can +rep your wonderful generosity throughout this thread. :)

EDIT: Actually its more like the 3 Stooges I forgot the awesome contributions of Tarnicus so shame on me. :)
And they are even also so enjoyable
I don't know why I keep hoping to win a free game that I might not play. Ah well. I am hoping for a Summer of (Show the) Love sale, or at least another week without sleep. ;) Overall, I'm happy w/the purchase I made and so am not complaining. Thanks, GOG!
