I got 5 freebies, 2 of which I already had so I gave them away. The other 3 were ones I didn't really want.

Well I would guess a lot including myself as there are far more people trying for freebies without success then the people talking about a free game they got. :)

I bought some stuff, got Shadowrun Returns on round 3 for free, bought some more stuff and now got Shadow Man. But I think it's pure chance, so you could get freebies without buying anything.

I've been clicking for days trying to score a freebie to no avail.
But considering how much GoG has given away for free over the years complaining would be quite low.
Even if you're a poor bastard (money wise) like me :P

Sucks to wake up and find out that I went to bed right before two games I wanted came up for sale: S2 and Last Express.

Time to take revenge by buying games I never wanted to. :D

there just seemed to be a good lot of people stacking up multiple freebies from my recollections.

Confirmed. I received my first freebie before I purchased the first game.
