craig_ethan_123: You get a free game by clikig on the buy now button a it will say if you've got it free
So far i've gotten 1...
Thanks :) I was thinking if maybe the price on the page would change or smth... :)
Pleasant dreams to all seeking their pillows! ;-)

Austrobogulator: I'm not and I did. I'm more or less just spectating now - although, there are a few games I wouldn't mind attempting to get as freebies.
avatar
Grargar: OK. It just seemed you were anxious to get the sales moving.
I am in a sense, it's much more fun for everyone when things are moving. Well, unless you just end up missing out on something >_>
avatar
Austrobogulator: If it helps, I think this is the worst Deponia. There are some seriously terrible jokes, including jokes about suicide and pedopheila. Erm, what I meant to say is - this is the best game ever, quickly buy all the copies now!!
avatar
Verdeloth: Yeah, that looks great, I love black humour jokes, so you just persuaded me to buy it.
Although I played only Deponia 1 so far, and 2nd part is still missing in my collection, hopefully they will put it to some other promo soon.

And I also don`t understand, why GOG didn`t have a possibility to save credit card details to the profile like it is on all other sites, so they don`t have to be typed every time.
Though I suppose quite a lot of people are paying through PayPal, and don`t have this kind of a problem.
I managed to get my credit card option locked during this sale :/
I have an electronic Visa that generates a new credit card number for each purchase, for security reasons, and after 10 or so different credit cards the payment solution GoG has decided I was trying some kind of credit card fraud. But I can still use PayPal :)

Hopefully the credit card option will be unlocked eventually.
Good morning!

I had a nice sleep time, a good breakfast and I see in The List that any of Sam & Max are still to come.

All is well!

joppo: Especially because it's pricier than most games here and it's from a company I do not intend to spend a single cent on. I can't give my support to Daedalic's latest decisions.
And what is that exactly?

musteriuz: Guys and gals, thanks for an entertaining visit with you all. This was my first extended visit to the forums and I have learned a lot from many of you. It was also heart-warming to see that there are still some generous people left on this planet.

For those of you interested in such things: from this sale I got the following-
Wishlisted:- Teslagrad; Flatout 2; Sang-Froid; Papers, Please; Shadowrun Returns; Time Commando; Valdis Story; Aarklash; Deponia 3 and TR:AoD (digital back-up);
Impulse buys:- Pid; Gomo; Cannon Fodder; Trine 2 (gog copy);
Impulse Freebies:- Cognition and Democracy 3.

Thanks to all for helping to pass the time whilst waiting for wanted games. Who knows - maybe, dv, I'll catch many of you on here again during the next Insomnia (shouldn't that be Insania) sale?

God bless.
Bye Musteriuz see you on next insomnia
- wait you wont do playing games now as long as the forum works are you?

Verdeloth: Yes, that`s true, but most bigger companies (i.e. Amazon) are quite confident, that they could secure them, and offer this possibility to save card details (which is still optional), so I am just a little bit surprised, that especially GOG is so paranoid.
In order to legally store credit card information, you need to meet certain security standards, and implementing them correctly can be a lot of work.

Maybe it'll show up in the upcoming site rewrite, but even then, GOG might prefer to retain as little information as possible in case they get attacked and information gets leaked.

What site rewrite?

I'm pretty sure I'll be ninja'd on this but here it goes: First they separated Edna and Harvey's games, and the price for both together used to be $20. Now they cost $20 for one and $15 the other. They also raised prices on some of their other games, I can't remember which ones.

Essentially they treat us like cash cows and not customers. So I wanna get my money and support other companies in their place.

Edit: typo. And I surprisingly haven't been ninja'd

Good morning or something like that :)

Kamamura: Don't forget the weekend sale for the Insomnia sale.

Overlapping sails is the worst nightmare of a seasoned pirate ;-)
Right, already missed the 7th Guest promo at the beginning of the insomnia. But hopefully it's over before the weekend promo also ends. ;)

GOG got overly pessimistic with the known slow sellers from the first 2 rounds and did only sell them in very limited quantities in round 3? At least it seems I have been more lucky this "night" and did not miss anything I really wanted. :)

I like it the way it is. This way, even if they are breeched, they won't get my stored CC number.
