nuketakuler: do you guys ever find yourself trying to tell the world how kewl this place is? i think im like 0/100 for getting people to the site. noone will even look, they dont know what the heck drm free is, and 0 appreciation for older games.
Has the world gone MAD?! omg I dont even know why i mention it to people, people like so what. which is very odd to me, if this were 20 years ago, everyone would be here.

PrinceTuiTeka: Facebook killed the forums star.

Its a sad, sad reality, but forums aren't very popular anymore.

i still love them, but then again I used to frequent bulletin boards before the internet existed.
I just think people have gotten very boring with all the new gadgets out there, and have 0 respect for gaming history anymore, let alone take the time to enjoy it like art just a tiny bit. im speaking about 98 percent of the earths population.
course 50 percent are probably trying to get a bowl of rice, but thats besides the point.

Anyone else seeing a plain gray homepage background now?
No but it took a long time to load the background for me.

Well, to be fair, if this were 20 years ago, most of the games on this site would either be brand spanking new or from the fuuuutuuuure, and everyone would still be learning that the word "internet" exists, let alone what that actually entails. :D

But hey, I do totally get you, and I have indeed tried to tell other folks about the site myself! Had a customer in work earlier, in fact, who was talking about how he liked all these retro games, so I advised him to hit Good Old Games with a quickness. Hopefully he does! I haven't had much luck convincing folks otherwise.
Still over 100 copies left -.-
so does anyone have any awsome gog games theyre gonna play in the next few hours. Ill probably play a round with wizardry 8 a bit , that game is fundamentally SOUND. Also did anyone else get to buy the game XIII . they dont sell it anymore but if u bought it before that dispute a year ago its still in our library. It was quite a great game to have been purged from gog
Please tell me I didn't miss Long Live the Queen while I was at work =(

Its a shame. The games industry has gone downhill terribly since I started playing games. People just cry out for better graphics these days, and will forgo good gameplay and stories for eye candy.

I, and as i'm sure, most of you, are the opposite and find that these old games tend to fit my preferences for gaming more than anything churned out these days.

You didn't!

And thank goodness. Though I don't plan on buying it (I'd rather get the Steam version because I'm an achievement whore), I wouldn't mind clicking through to a rare shiny freebie version.

Thank you both for telling me! Thank goodness. I've been kicking myself since it sold out in round 2. I really hope to see it pop up before bed =S

nuketakuler: you know what would be an AWSOME game.
x-files the game 1998
everyone seems to have forgot that. its david duchovney , you can shoot skinner in his bald head.
its awsome for an old cheezy mystery alien solving game.
I'm going to have to look that up! XD
