nishanche: I think all of those games were in the Fall Insomnia sale and as a bundle pack on GOG in the past.
avatar
LynetteC: It was the first bundle I bought after joining GOG to get the free version of Dungeon Keeper. My sole intention was to grab the freebie and never come back, but when I found all of the extra free games on my shelf including the most awesome Ultima IV, I decided to keep a bookmark and investigate the site a little more. My bank account has regretted it ever since! ;-) On the up side, I don't have to worry about being bored in my retirement! lol
Haha, my Bank account is beyond furious. I break the 200 barrier earlier this year (Remember that because it overtake my steam library) and at this promo I reach 294. I don't know if I will break the 300 barrier, but if I count the gift I buy in this promo, sure the 300 barrier is broken.

Maybe I am crazy due to the insomnia
After going over my list of games wanted, Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is the last one I was wanting it looks like. I'm headed to bed soon and hope I don't miss it. If it pops up in the next 8 hours would someone be willing to get it for me, I'll repay you with another game later. Thanks!

Dumann: I see there are several customization's (patches?) by the community for Neverwinter Nights. Is this the same with Planescape Torment and Baldur's Gate? If yes, which customization's/patches do you guys recommend for a new player? Or just play it 'bare' first?

vulchor: http://www.gog.com/news/mod_spotlight_planescape_torment_mods_guide

You'll do yourself a huge service to pay close attention to this article and check out the subforums here as well if you run into any difficulty. I also highly recommend playing the game at a lower resolution, 1280x720 max. You'll miss out on a lot of the detail and emotional connection if you play it at 1080p in my opinion.
This is very helpful indeed. Isn't it odd that this page is not linked on the Planescape support page? http://www.gog.com/support/planescape_torment Or is there a page where those 'Mod spotlights' are listed per game?

Dumann: Exactly the same story here! I wanted to grab a legal version of Bullfrog's Dungeon Keeper (I just love that game), and now I have over 50 games on my GoG shelf...
I have the original on CD but I remember having problems getting it running on Vista and now I'm on Win 8 I figured it wouldn't hurt to grab a free, optimised copy. Well, it certainly hurt my PayPal/debit card this past few days!
Hey, I'm fixing to hit the sack. Been a long day of waiting. Wondering if anyone would grab these for me if they show up before morning( like in 8hrs). I have some I can gift or I can get you one that is upcoming that you want, or just pay you through paypal. Whatever works for you! Here are the ones I am looking for.

Police Quest 1-4
Space Quest 4+5+6
Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail!
Deponia 3
Sam & Max, all 3.

Thank you very much!

Hehe me too, I even still have the original guide book. The CD has so many scratches that you can't even play it in a CD player anymore. I used to put the CD-rom into the CD player to listen to the bad ass music. Track 1 was data (white noise), but you could listen to track 2 until 7 if i remember correctly :)

For NWN a must have is the modern client nwncx - it unleashes the power of modern graphics cards for the over a decade old game making it visually competitive with WoW. It also adds lots of visual effects not in the original client.

One last note, most prefer NWN over NWN2. The NWN community is still very much alive. The NWN2 community, not nearly as much.
Had the whole day off, and it was raining so I stayed in. Not one Sam & max? Also waiting for police quest. Now I have to go to bed and work in the a.m. This is my first insomiac sale, I am not impressed. Lol. I knew nothing about this sale/site until a friend pointed it out to me. Its now been 3 days.....and I'm hooked, waiting in anticipation curses!!!!!

I've never played PS:T at high res, sounds like you have. What is it that you miss?

Thanks for the help. I will start with Planescape Torment, and when I am about to start with NWN I will drop you a message for some modding advice!

You should have been here for the last sale. Waiting for the 3rd chance at Baldur's Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2 was excruciating.
