Dumann: To kill the time, I've got a quick question for you guys: A while back I bought a bundle with a lot of the RPG classics like Baldur's Gate, Forgotten Realms Demon Stone, D&D Dragonshard, Temple of Elemental Evil, Icewind Dale, Planescape Torment and Neverwinter Nights. When I've recovered from the insomnia I'm planning on catching up with those classics. Which would be the best to start with for somebody that missed out on these games in the past? (since he was too busy playing Bullfrog games) Or are they all extremely hard core with a steep learning curve and do you recommend another similar game first?

Police Quest, Space Quest, Gobliiins. They seem to have evaded me and everyone else while throwing slow games at our faces xD

nishanche: I think all of those games were in the Fall Insomnia sale and as a bundle pack on GOG in the past.
I just checked, it was in February.

It was the first bundle I bought after joining GOG to get the free version of Dungeon Keeper. My sole intention was to grab the freebie and never come back, but when I found all of the extra free games on my shelf including the most awesome Ultima IV, I decided to keep a bookmark and investigate the site a little more. My bank account has regretted it ever since! ;-) On the up side, I don't have to worry about being bored in my retirement! lol

seems ur looking for the same games I'm looking for with the different that i barely caught gobliins yesterday.. thats how I discovered the sale.. checked out gog and there was gobliiins pack and 17 copies left.. barely caught it in time :D XD.. yes I am waiting for the rest of the sierra collection too :)

ahmedshaltout: seems ur looking for the same games I'm looking for with the different that i barely caught gobliins yesterday.. thats how I discovered the sale.. checked out gog and there was gobliiins pack and 17 copies left.. barely caught it in time :D XD.. yes I am waiting for the rest of the sierra collection too :)
Haha yeah :D They went really quick the last few sales. Plus, being at work doesn't help much either. If I spot them pop up I'll let you know!

Looks like we came on board around the same time as this was my first purchase here as well. Was it the free Dungeon Keeper that lured you in too? ;-)

Same argument I am using to deal with my backlog of games. I don't have enough time right now to enjoy all of them.

Exactly the same story here! I wanted to grab a legal version of Bullfrog's Dungeon Keeper (I just love that game), and now I have over 50 games on my GoG shelf...

opeth2112: S2 for free - cool. Going to have to drop out of this thread though. SOOO tired of all the Keane references. Wouldn't be that big of a deal, if it wasn't for so many people who weren't even a member last fall using it to try to sound funny. Enough already.
I'm kind of Keane to the sense of humour underlying all of that personally. ;o) It's all in good spirits and helps to pass the time and amuse ourselves. It actually inspired me to buy the first Jack Keane game not long afterward as well. ;o)
