Thank you for that! Turns out it was a compatibility issue with the launcher. Just had to troubleshoot it and was fixed quickly, thankfully! :)

Gnostic: With all the disaster of the new FF series, I think that's why they revamp the older FF from 1 to 6 to milk sales.

Drooling on this but why it does not come to PC?

koima57: Ouch.. Make yourself a favor, get the PSN version for either PSP, Vita, Ps3 or Ps4, this is hurting visuals. Or yeah, wait and pray for a Pc port of the original, just not these poor alternate versions.
Ah you see, you know the PSN version have PSP, Vita, PS3, PS4. I am not buying consoles again and again for some games.

Then some of the games are not compatible with newer consoles and some of the games are not compatible with older consoles.

You have to buy the same game again that is compatible with the newer consoles, or you have keep older consoles somewhere in case you want to play the game again.

I don't like this kind of milking so I may buy the game and ditch it somewhere, then play it on the PC emulator...... if my massive backlog of games fail to hold back my itch

Tarnicus: After studying politics and economics at university, and then having life show me the non-human side of things where our laws, beliefs and actions are a minute thread of a larger complex organism, I think I'd get the shits playing a game that is so human-centric :P

IAmSinistar: Yes indeed. As someone who has studied the principles of emergence, chaos dynamics, and evolute heuristics, I'm of the mind that you can only truly simulate something by creating a complete simulacra. Specifically, to properly model part of the universe, you first must model the universe.

I expect the game is still fun though, and hopefully contains some good governmental and civics lessons. I think it helps to ease people into complex subjects by exposing them to even those fundamental parts they may not yet grasp.
Darn your brain would be fun to pick! (not in a Hannibal Lector way :P)

I am curious as to what those governmental and civics lessons would be from the game. I took a look at a few screenshots and when I see "Environment" I wonder what that exactly entails. I've spoken with someone who has played it and he told me they don't like "extreme playstyles", i.e. that specialist groups take them down. That means I couldn't have my dream semi-nomadic caveman technology level society that shuns technology in favour of remembering that we have everything we need hard-wired within us lol
Aww bugger. Fell asleep with the laptop on my knee and slept from Smugglers V to now, completely missing Shlelter that I was going to by a gift code for. This is what happens when you go out for tea and stuff yourself at an all you can eat buffet!

Now I'm even more SUPER thankful (if that's possible) for the awesome IAmSinistar's generous gift yesterday. (BTW it took me a while to work out how to redeem that code lol)

I suppose I should just go to bed now as there's nothig else I desparately want orf the list, although having said that I still bought myself Etherlords 2 and Heretic Kingdoms today on impulse!

Not sure how I'm going to get through tomorrow night - I'm performing at a charity event. I'll probably end up with my tablet next to the laptop on stage hitting refresh during very instrumental break! lol

EDIT: Just noticed my rep's up 3 to 10. Guess I got swept up in the rep wave earlier today! :-)

Watched it again recently after almost forgetting how funny it is. Alan Rickman is priceless in that film.
Thanks guys :)

Literally woke to see the counter dropping past 50 so was able to grab it before it sold out (did have a scare on the payment page when the paypal page failed to load properly the first time)

I don't have everything I need hardwired within me. I'm hoping to get a WiFi connection soon though, then I'll be perfect.

Well, I was waiting for shelter (missed the first 2 rounds entirely as I had yet to join gog) and I left for literally like 10 min halfway through the game before shelter. And I missed it :( It went very quickly.

Just remember to keep an eye on your daughter for the early signs of unhinged despotic tendencies ;)
