Tarnicus: That's the rumour going round...I dunno, I've got 207 on my shelf and the last time I finished one of them was back in the 90s, before GOG existed. I thought this was a back-up service for all the boxed copies of games my mother threw out when I was younger? I didn't realise we were meant to actually play them. I think I prefer the chattiness of the forum/gifting game but I'm still not sure how I can "win" it?
And re that game, I just wrote to GOG support about it: "During this awesome sale, I wanted to purchase a gift copy of Sam & Max Beyond Space and Time for a friend. The "problem" is that as I didn't own the game, your generous freebie system during the sale decided I should have the game even though I didn't want it for me. If you could please change that to a gift, I promise to keep spending far more than I can on your awesome sales to gift copies to strangers to make the world a brighter place. Thanks for your support in changing the world, one game at a time <3"
