Everybody has a chance at getting freebies. My guess would be that there are 5? (has anyone received more than 5 freebies?) allocated to each account, and it's just a matter of finding which of the 100 are yours. So those who click (click, not actually purchase) on every title have a better chance.

vulchor: At least he had fun =) I always play Danes or Swedes when I play games like Crusader Kings or Civ. I know that someone who's obsessed with English culture is called an Anglophile, I guess I'd be a Skandiphile because I'm all about Scandinavian culture. I even get imported Lingonberries, cloudberry, and gooseberry jam to have for breakfast every morning. Nothing beats Lingonberries.
A little too much fun I'd say. But he did construct some very nice buildings and monuments while he was at it, so I guess it's fair. It's interesting that you're a scandiphile... never met one of those before :D
