Prepare to become civilized.

It never hurts to have more civilization, now does it?
Especially if it comes in the form of Civilization III, Civilization IV, and CivCity: Rome, three great entries in the wildly popular and critically-acclaimed franchise, with a whopping 75% discount attached to them!

Lead your nation of choice from its humble beginnings to its space-faring heights or take a close look at all the ways in which you can affect the lives of ancient Romans. All that stands between you and historical greatness is just one more turn.

The 75% discounts will last until May 22, 10 AM UTC.

Any chance of this having to do with tonight's releases? Maybe Civ 1-2 and 5?

Hi, this promo still needs some work!

The latest deal in the first row features the weekly sale tile only.
Also CivCity Rome is currently missing from the five tiles in the second row.

Exceed20XX: I was thinking of starting off with Civ 4. Is this any bit friendly to a newcomer to this series and genre?
I'm reposting this in the hopes someone has an answer. :) I found Civ 5 to be too daunting as a newbie, so I'm also curious about how friendly 4 is.

I am wondering why a sale now..... Hmmm, it's very .... mysterious. Like something is about to happen....
Why is Civcity Rome not bundled with the other two?

.. or just Luned is right.
would be great if they bring Civ 1 and Civ 2 full so that we can complete the classic colection of them

I hate you. :)
Worse, I realized halfway through that I'd already read it years ago, but couldn't remember the ending, so I had to keep going...so now I hate myself, too.

Huh, yeah that seems to be more probable.

Same here.

Yes, thoroughly awesome and a must read. The layout on this page is terrible, though; if anyone's reading, Ctrl-A and copypaste into a text editor, there's padding at the bottom.
Bring Civ III and Civ IV to GOG Connect, please :-)
Too bad the decade-plus-old Civ IV still has a regular price of thirty dollars. Even at 75% off, it's still above my five dollar "game I don't seriously care about, but would be willing to try" threshold. (And yet Civ III, which is only a few years older, is 80% less expensive.)

Those five tiles are semi-randomized from a small pool of possible promoted items every time you load the page. Just hit F5 a few times until CivCity: Rome shows up. ;P

Thanks.

I was getting the same games in just a different order, even through different browsers. Now there is randomization, but I've never seen CivCity Rome.
I guess that "semi" part is the answer for that!

They might not have even bothered to put it in the rotation.
