THQ FTW.

You're into RPGs, perhaps? Turn-based, action, or just plain EPIC RPGs? Maybe you'd rather go with strategy, adventure, or action-adventure. Doesn't matter, really, since THQ Nordic's catalog's got it all. In spades. Also discounts up to 90%. Another small sentence that compels you to pay attention. In today's THQ Nordic Special Sale.
Now some suggestions to get you started:

The obvious shall prevail: get your hands on the adventure hack’n’slash Darksiders series (up to -80%) and scout a scorched earth for any living soul to save.

In mood for some gentle revolutionary mayhem? The Red Faction series (-75%) has got your back. Dive again in the legendary Red Faction and Red Faction 2, or try out Red Faction: Armageddon, just released DRM-free on GOG.COM! Plus, Enjoy a 50% discount on Red Faction: Armageddon until October 25th, 1PM UTC.

As the spiritual successor to the celebrated Gothic series (-75%), ELEX (-67%) throws strong sci-fi elements, mutant creatures, and a diverse setting into the mix, updating the Piranha Bytes formula for a new era.

Just look at that artstyle. LOOK AT IT. Now back to this newspost. Now to the artstyle again. It's so hard to turn away. But apart from the rad visuals, Battle Chasers: Nightwar (-75%) combines punchy jRPG gameplay and a rich story for a lengthy adventure based on the acclaimed comic book series.

The THQ Nordic Special Sale ends on October 21st, 1PM UTC.
Links to Red Faction Armageddon since it doesn't has it's own announcement (shame on you GOG !) :

nightcraw1er.488: What’s the new release on this list? They all look like they have been here a long time?

acute71: Isn't Red Faction: Armageddon new?
It says so in the sale announcement post, but this almost passed me by. GOG being GOG again. Oy vey!

Just one little line to herald Red Faction: Armageddon. Remember when I said you were terrible at communicating? Yeah, that deserved an entire dedicated post!

Will pick it up soon, thanks THQ Nordic and GoG!

I also don't think they mentioned that they added a remix album to the extras for Machinarium when they wrote up the 10th anniversary news article.
Whoa! Almost missed the secret release of Red Faction: Armageddon. Happy to see them all here, now. Thanks GOG and THQ! You two have a most beautiful relationship and I hope it continues far into the future.

If only THQ's parent company leaned on Deep Silver to make them release more games here as well. *le sigh*

Same here, for almost missing the release and for being happy to see all the RF games here. :) I'm surprised this one didn't get it's own dedicated release thread, I hope this won't be a new trend.

So does this contain all the DLCs, like that unicorn rainbow beam gun?
THQ Nordic has been publishing hit after hit. They've been doing amazing. In any case I highly recommend all the Darksiders games and Battle Chasers.

Well it's better that they're hands off than something like a 2K and Rockstar situation.

I'll recommend Carmageddon 1 & 2, and sort of Red Faction 1.

Yeah that's kinda dumb, now it'll be much harder to know it was released. Not sure what GOG was thinking there.

So if it was discounted according to your liking, you gonna buy it?
It would be nice to have Joint Operations to complement the delta force series but it was a multiplayer with a handfull of coop maps..
It's still being sold on steam at a inflated price.

As for why some people might want it I've copied a review from Ahroovi . The game itself first came out on 2004.
Game has better vehicle support than Arma3. Want to take a humvee into battle? Drive it into the back of a Osprey. None of this scroll menu crap to load it in preset spots.
Drive tanks onto an LCAC. Fit as many as you can physically. No limitations due to a "load in" menu.
Apparently it's simple to do since this game from 09 has it. But in 2016 we don't have anything like it.
Come on devs. Make ♥♥♥♥ good again.

Oh, and being able to ride in vehicles basically anywhere. You literally just stand in it. Wanna shoot from vehicles? In Arma it's preset spots with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ aiming arcs. On here, just stand facing out the side door of the UH-60, aim shoot. Need to shoot the other side? About face and take a few steps, repeat process. And you don't take damage from it either.
Paradrop out of a C130 or something? Just stand inside and run out the back.
I don't get why this isn't a thing in modern games.
This week sales:

Things like that are what I find fun in Battlefield 2. We need the two first BF games here.
