So does anyone know if the Fallout 1+2+T are the same as the old ones here in GoG? In terms of content and patches are they identical or would it make sense to buy them again?

MadalinStroe: I have all the original Fallout games(1+2+T), but of course they appear as NOT OWNED because... well, we all know why...
In this case I think it makes sense, since you have the superior “classic” versions which also have Mac versions along with many more extras. However, the Bethesda versions of them might be updated separately, though I doubt it for such old games.

Crimson-X: No because of DOOM 3 BFG Edition
avatar
MarkoH01: That's a reason? The BFG edition is clearly inferior.
I think he's implying Bethesda only wants BFG here because it's more expensive. which makes sense but by now most people who really want BFG have bought it, so Bethesda is missing out on money from people who want the original

I didn't say it was a legit reason. Lol I certainly hope we can get the original but considering that the games don't exactly run on anything after Xp, you could easily just get get the Steam versions and use the modern source ports to play.

Original worked fine on my Win7 - did not try it on Win10 yet.

Ah you just jogged my memory. Yeah it actually did play on 7 but... quality was pretty low. I played through a source port and it was much better being able to do higher resolution.

PhyCX: I don't own The New Colossus but there are mainly 4 ways to change one's language if it has multi-versions installers for different languages no matter what game it is.

1. Select the game on your web browser, use the "Language" drop-down menu and choose the one you like from what are listed. Then you should be able to download the offline installers of the language you want.

2. If you prefer Galaxy, you can set up your global language settings. Click on the gear-like icon on the top left and select settings from the drop down menu. Then you can choose your preferred game language after switching to the page of "Installing, updating" on the pop-up window.

3. Of course you can also choose the language for just one individual game. Select the language on the window after you click the install button and that's it.

4. If you'd like to download the installers through Galaxy, go to the Extras page and do as the same as what you should do on the web browser.

Pictures shown. Hope this help.

MarkoH01: Addition:

In case you are using offline installers sometimes you will find an additional option to change the language by chosing "options" in installer prior to the installation as well (languages are listed on the bottom left in that case).
Thank you both for the advice - unfortunately, none of those options had revealed the Japanese language setting, I checked when doing the support ticket. It's not listed as an option when downloading from the website library (there is only "English" which includes other languages inside, or German), when running the offline installer(both, even checked the German one just in case), or when installing via Galaxy. Also checked once installed in case there was a setting in-game. And I have been keeping an eye on the offline installers to be updated, but it hasn't happened yet.

I was hoping someone else may have found out how to fix it, but I am thinking perhaps there was a mistake and the right files forgot to be included, or were accidentally made inaccessible somehow. So, looks like have to wait for GOG to fix it... but it's kind of disappointing to purchase a game, and nearly 2 months later still can't play it with the language support as advertised.

I know somebody who owns the game as well. I will ask him.

Just bought it myself (it was on my wishlist anyway ;))
And at least in Galaxy it shows Japanese language option prior install for me (see attached screenshot).
Nevermind, I've just learned that my screenshot is not showing Japanese but Chinese. Sorry.

Topoli: Why is this called 'Bethesda Games'?
The publisher of a game is mostly not also the developer!
That's disrespecting.

I can't understand why people hype publishers, many of them probably do not even know who developed the game they play...
Arx Fatalis for example was developed by 'Arkane Studios'.
Because otherwise they’d have to make multiple banners and multiple posts for studios. I don’t think any storefront does a “studio sale”, it always goes under the publisher, which to be fair are more recognizable in most cases.
