I stepped into the virtual world. The neon lights of the GOG City reflecting off my chrome jacket. And then I saw it, right at the center hologram – all the virtual dreams I’ve wanted to get access to on a special sale. “Guess it’s my lucky day” I thought to myself as I came closer. The sea of avatars gathered quickly there with me. All of us with one important question in mind – “in which of these digital ethers should I lose myself first?”. And so it was that I entered the Neon Dreams.

Get ready for a special sale filled with outstanding cyberpunk-themed titles on bargains as high as -90% and Akane release with a -50% launch discount (lasting until March 13th, 11 PM UTC). Welcome to Neon Dreams.

In these games the lines between humans and machines are blurred, society is on the brink of collapse and corporations hold all the power. The futuristic world of cyberpunk presents itself in its full dystopian strength. Prepare for a variety of titles to choose from including action-packed shooters, immersive RPGs, thrilling adventure games and everything in between. From neon-drenched cityscapes to dark alleyways filled with danger, they will take you on a journey through a future that's both exciting and terrifying. Find all of the titles included in the sale HERE.

And to make Neon Dreams even more cool, the aforementioned Akane – arena arcade slasher with beautiful pixel graphics is now available on GOG!

It’s the year 2121 A.D, and in the rain-soaked neon streets of Mega-Tokyo there’s no escape options – only you, your loyal katana and hordes of mad Yakuzas. With no choice for a happy ending you must fight your final battle and take down as many thugs as you can with you!

In this gem based on one-hit-one-kill gameplay mechanics you will face five types of unique opponents, complete missions to unlock new guns and equipment and make good use of your special Samurai Skills: Dragon Slash and Dragon Slayer.

It’s fast, it’s incredibly fun and it’s dripping with cyberpunk aesthetics!

Scratching that cyberpunk itch is also a great way to help us wait until the upcoming, highly-anticipated release of System Shock! This remake of the iconic FPP sci-fi shooter originally released in 1994 will allow us to return to Citadel Station and face the flesh-hungry mutants running in its corridors.

With updated mechanics, graphics, and enemy A.I. – System Shock will offer a new generation of players a chance to go toe-to-toe with one of gaming's most iconic enemies, SHODAN and rediscover that fantastic experience for all the players that have fallen in love with the series in the first place.

Overhauled arsenal of weapons and tools, new threats and horrors, renovated Citadel Station with new areas to explore, traps to evade, puzzles to solve, and rebuilt hacking simulator – to say that we are incredibly excited would be an understatement!

System Shock is available right now for pre-order and just to remind you: everyone who will do so, will receive System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition for free when SS2:EE is released. Make sure to do so!

But enough talking! It’s time we dive deep into the amazing worlds of cyberpunk and enrich our libraries with great titles while saving money! Let’s explore topics such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, genetic engineering, and the merging of human and machine. And whether you’re in for a thrilling action or philosophical and thought-provoking discourses about the consequences of our increasing reliance on technology, it’s all HERE. Enjoy!

GOG...

... I "understood" when...

... you had a sale where 1/3 - 1/2 of the titles listed on the sale page weren't discounted.

Then it happened again...

... and I started to get annoyed. Also noting that my personal wishlist -- sorted by games "discounted" -- brought up games that...

... ARE NOT DISCOUNTED. Is that broken too!?!?

Then it happened a third time. Another sale where 1/3 of the games are NOT discounted.

And a fourth time...

So now I have to sort a sale page by games that are "discounted"!?!?!

I shouldn't have to sort a sale page by "discounted" games. ALL THE GAMES ON THE SALE PAGE SHOULD BE DISCOUNTED!

I was fine with what I saw as a one-time oversight, but now this "oversight" has become commonplace...

... ubiquitous with GOG sales!

And to add insult to injury, I contacted GOG support on this very issue (or at least the wishlist issue which seems directly connected to this problem) over a week ago and still have no response!

What does that mean?

The site is broken? Publishers are pulling titles from the sales and you can't "pull" them from the sale pages? Someone at GOG is just dropping the ball? Or is this a new strategy to mix everything up and hope people buy full-price games expecting them to be discounted if they're on sale pages (but they aren't)? And... what's with support?

Not happy GOG. This is not a good look.

And I will say this... I'm not willing to purchase anything more from GOG until I hear some word on what's going on (either support message or via forum). This is ridiculous.

That's a very good question.

But because something similar happens on Steam too, I am tempted to guess that it's some very bizarre internal logic that these stores operate with. Something to do with DLCs or bundles.

Something somewhere gets discounted that is somehow connected to the game that you see, and it will show up as a discounted game even though it really isn't. Kind of like those bundles that you do/do not own, but they show up in the opposite way when browsing the store.

when to be available on gog drm-free?! pleas
That banner, wow. Where it is from? i was trying google it, but no results :( .

Remember when this was, like, science-fiction?
Cybrerpunk sale without: Chaos Overlords, and Urban Chaos.
It is joke?
Chaos Overlords is quite broken, though.

Same. I guess they commissioned it - I would love to see the full art without a GOG logo.
