Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

mkiskissian: And the next is... Jack Keane 2 !
Yeah. 1000 copies :)

GabiMoro: Did Heroes of Might and Magic 3 sale repeat it self?
avatar
Crowned: Pretty sure it did at some point, if not several times. I know I missed it once earlier and bought it when it came up again.
I missed the first one, I got errors with both PayPal and credit card. I never had errors before.

Det_Bullock: The endings after the free update make sense, at least to me.

Sincerely I wonder why people hate the game that much, the "talking to every jackass part" is a consequence of having a crew/party of people and it's better than having to wait for a trigger event that might or might not come like in most old infinity engine games.

CarrionCrow: Well, for me it got into a really unpleasant pattern. Talk to everyone, do a mission, talk to everyone again, do another mission, talk to everyone again, do some Mako crap where you're driving around on something that acts like a giant bouncy ball/probe planets repeatedly for upgrade resources, do a mission, talk to everyone again, run around the Citadel like a headless chicken, and so on. I really wanted to get into the story, didn't want to miss out, but it seriously felt like one hell of a monotonous grind after a while.
And as a bonus, my X-Box ate all my saves some time after I finished the trilogy. Didn't have it in me to run through it all again just to get back to a point where any additional facesaving crap they slapped onto the end would have applied.
I didn't like the Mako either though I played it on PC and I heard the mako in the PC version is much less unwieldy than in the xbox original, and my saves are all stored both in my Documents folder and my external hard drive, always said PC is better.

Even if the promo lasted a year, I doubt it would be long enough to sell that many.

I called that thing the "Pinball of the Apocalypse" and I loved it the same way I love Skate 3 videos; it was just too much fun flipping it off cliffs and bouncing this indestructible vehicle with an incredibly silly physics model cheerfully across alien landscapes.
ugh.
NO, I'm afraid I have to wait another hour or two for real texas to be over... and I'm hurting and want to lay down.

edit:but perhaps the 80% off will help it go super fast.
