Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

OK, I'm out. I'll be dissapointed if by tomorrow Jack Keane isn't the next Chuck Norris of the internets.

Celton88: Expeditions: Conquistador doesn't have a very good chance I think. It was up like maybe 10-15 games ago
avatar
nijuu: Its been up twice already :/
Thanks both. So much for Expeditions then... rumor has it bitComposer will be Humble Bundle Weekly soon so fingers crossed for DRM free there.
avatar
ALH: Space Time Differential?Measured in Keane.
We are all moving towards the future ... very slowly.
GOG, this is a very poor way to repay the loyalty of your customers.
avatar
cannard: I have to be honest, I'd much rather Commander Keen be here than Jack Keane, but hey count your blessings and all that guff.
Heck yeah, I'll buy that noise in an instant.
avatar
Foxhack: I guess nobody likes Jack Keane. :D
What are you talking about? The review page is full of 5 star reviews saying how great this game is!
Damn, if I had some extra cash I would buy a copy just to beat this dead horse down the road a little ;-)
Well , i seem to be the fortunate few who actually got almost everything he wanted, ( IWD , NWN1-2 etc.) except Icewind Dale 2 and Baldurs gate original...they really should have put a timer on the sales , that say after 5-15 mins the sale ends and goes onto the next one....because honestly some of the sales aren't THAT crazy ( i mean 50-60% is kinda meh compared to the others especially considering that you can get those on bigger sales at other times prolly). but yeah all-in-all it wasnt just cheap but kinda fun...until this point ( its 5:41 am here btw )

Maestra249: You mean like this? So, where's my Torchlight gift code?
avatar
Fictionvision: You have the receipt from paying for it?

Actually if you did I'd be happy because that means someone else bought a copy.
Ehm, sure... hang on... I must have left it in my other pants! But I swear, I bought ten copies! :p
Jack Keane is the unbeatable Boss. And this isn't even his final form.

transformer84488: Wow! I am back after six hours of well deserved sleep and this loopin' loop is still on! Now I can hang out here and finally get Deus Ex GOTY.
avatar
jjsimp: What loop. It's been on JK2 for seven hours now.
What? You must be kidding me. No way JK2 has been on that long. I left the loop when Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 was up with 600 copies to burn through, and that was 6 hours back!

EDIT: Going back a lot of pages I can see that JK2 has been trying everyone's patience.

Well done GOG, you broke the sale.

This is madness!
Well with nothing going on I looked at the forum post someone else gave that had the complete list of games and worked out of the 102 I want 4, already have 35 on GOG and another 6 on the humble site. That took up 2 minutes.. I wonder how I'll kill the other 24 hours until Jack Keane 2 sells out
If everyone sent me a dollar, I would buy up all the remaining copies.
Poor Jack. He just doesn't seem to be very popular around here...
It's interesting how some games went in a matter of seconds, some were gone before they were up (free games) and some were gone as soon as you clicked on them.
I guess Jack Keane is not popular. I would buy it myself, but it's still a bit too expensive.
I did see a few free games, but I found the deals to be far more interesting. I'd rather pay a very low price for a game I really want than get something I don't really care for free, so I'm quite happy.
I got two on my wishlist for very low prices. For those who won free games, enjoy. Just curious- did you get the free games by clicking on the games just prior to them?
