Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

UberNerd: Good thing I have a backlog of manga to sustain me through these difficult times.

Uzur9: Anything good?

Ive got 4 Chapters of Bleach, 15 Chapters of Naruto to read. Im sure Ive got more to download. Also have first 10 Vol. of Kenshin.
Heh, I suppose I could go watch the 192 episodes of Bleach I have queued up on Hulu. JK2 might be down in the low teens when I'm done.

(I'm sure the manga is better, as is often the case with books and the movies based on them, but I'm lazy... and the show is free.)

Fictionvision: The devs are going to check on their game's GOG page one day and say "Holy shit, look at all the 5 star reviews we got! People love us!"
Oh no!

That means the next sale we'll have even more copies to wait for someone to take one for the team.
Jack Keane 2, Jack Keane, JK.....It was a troll the whole time, a troll by Gog, I've cracked the code....I MUST WARN THE MASSES!!!!
Uh oh. I'm getting the urge to buy a copy just to move this thing along. Time to go lock my wallet somewhere safe for a while.
PLEASE GIVE US THE NEXT GAME, GOG!

nijuu: 61
Up until today, I wouldn't have believed it if you told me a 61 could get me more excited than a 69.

I read that when you beat JK2, it gives you a code for a free GOG game of your choice. Is that true? Thats a hell of a deal!

Hey people! Not only is Jack Keane a famed video game star but a retired four-star general! Pay your respects!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Keane
John M. "Jack" Keane (born 1943) is a retired four-star general and former Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army, and a defense analyst currently serving as Chairman of the Board for the Institute for the Study of War.
Life and career

Keane attended Fordham University, where he participated in The National Society of Pershing Rifles, graduating with a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1966. He then attended Western Kentucky University, graduating with a master's degree in philosophy. He then attended the Command and General Staff College and the Army War College .[1]

Keane served in the Vietnam War as a paratrooper. He later served in U.S. engagements in Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia and Kosovo. His commands include the 1st Brigade,10th Mountain Division, 101st Airborne Division and the XVIII Airborne Corps.[1]

Keane retired from military service in 2003. He is also a national security analyst for Fox News. He has served an advisory role in the management of the U.S. occupation of Iraq, as a member of the Defense Policy Board Advisory Committee. In January 2007, Keane and scholar Frederick W. Kagan released a policy paper, entitled "Choosing Victory: A Plan for Success in Iraq",[2] through the American Enterprise Institute that called for bringing security by putting around 30,000 additional American troops there for a period of at least 18 months. In part convinced by this paper, President George W. Bush ordered on January 10, 2007 the deployment of 21,500 additional troops to Iraq, most of whom would be deployed to Baghdad.[3][4]

Military awards Keane has received include two Defense Distinguished Service Medals, two Army Distinguished Service Medals, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, the Joint Chiefs Service Badge, the Humanitarian Service Medal, five Legions of Merit,[1] Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge.

His civilian awards include the Fordham University Distinguished Alumni Award, the USO 2002 Man of the Year award, and the Association of the United States Army 2001 Man of the Year award.

Son of William Keane and Maude (Brown) Keane, and brother of Ronald Keane. Keane married Theresa Doyle in 1965 and has two sons, Matthew and Daniel.[1]
Pay your respects to this man's long and illustrious career and buy his game now!
Not a fan of the fake reviews though. Some of them are hilarious, but GOG is going to have to clean all of those up, there's only one actual review of the game on there.

They give you a beta test code for Grim Fandango so you can download it instantly!
Just refreshed the page and the number went back up to 93 for a second. I almost cried.
The newly posted reviews of Jack Keane 2 are quite funny.

poddy_fries: The thing I was wasting my time on before this was getting every last achievement in Defender's Quest. Why does watching numbers go up or down fascinate us so?
well I've been doing disgaea d2 postgame ever since the sale started slowing down.

hit level 9999 again, time to reincarnate and go back to 9999 again

probably could gain another 30 or 40 K levels at least while waiting for Jack Keane to go away.
