Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Craig234: I hate when things like 'Director's Cut' aren't explained. I already own Assassin's creed, don't know if I'm missing anything in 'Director's Cut'. Looked for a minute and it was sold out.

Uzur9: I just looked into it and nothing is diff. You get Audo/Video Options you don't get from the Console. Other then for the PC vers you have 1 or 2 new missions you can do to gather info.

{I own it for both 360 + PC)
Does the new Audio/Video Options for the PC include subtitles? That is a very big thing for me, I remember being very disappointed the 360 version did not have any.
I wanted to buy Deus EX but apparently GOG.com's innovative sale model has just hit rock bottom. Good night, everybody.

"Ain't nobody got time for that."
Has Deus Ex GOTY edition been on sale yet?
I have had that on my wish list for a few months now and I can't wait to get it.

It actually has been.
Can we actually buy games as "gifts" and then use for ourselves?

I mean GOOD games are going out very fast that we dont even have the chance to open the page to read the reviews/genre of it so using the gift option would be wise in order to trade it later BUT can we use the code to ourselves as well? I mean in case we decide that we want the game and change our mind about trade.

I always bought games without the gift option and never though of how much useful it can be =D

Sashh: Do you realise that GOG made you an opportunity to get about 2 hours of sleep time? Don't waste it on writing here!
At 1 copy being sold every 5 minutes, it's going to take over 7 hours. That's ASSUMING it continues selling at all.
high rated
GOG needs to make a special avatar for those of us who sit with the homepage open for the entire Jack Keane 2 sale. Something like those "I survived..." T-shirts
Jack should still be up there in less than 4 hours when they get back to their office at 8am at this rate.
@ >=75% I might have taken a bite.
You would have thought Jack Keane 2 would sell better seeing as the cover has two woman on it with barely anything covering...certain body parts.
Good hunting, everyone! May the fastest draw win.

Gunsik: this is making me sad... i dont even blink when one sale is going down but i still didnt saw a freebie it just changed to jack keane... if not my friend and You guys i wouldnt even know there was chance for pudle... I hope if gog decide to make similar sale they will find some way to give chances for all gog lovers for free game

Psyringe: Would have been quite possible, actually. Example:

Let a "free game" offer stand for 1 minute. During that minute, people can click a "Want it" button. After the minute is over, the copies are randomly distributed among the participants.

An additional option would have been to give people the option of either clicking "want it", or "Don't want it", with the latter giving them a bonus the next time they _do_ click "want it" on a free game. This would have increased the chances that free games find their way to people who actually care about them, instead of the current system, where you have to click the button so fast that you can't even check what you would be getting.
You are so damn right! Especially last sentence! I. AGREE. SO. MUCH!

Fictionvision: I just looked on NeoGaf and saw they had a thread about the sale, someone there pointed out Jack Keane 2's review page.

The last 2 reviews are funny, especially the second one. (Both are dated November 13, 2013)

LOL - good one. I think I can safely head out to get some food while some few kind souls over the next several hours buy JK2 ;-)
