Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

1 sale in 5 minutes. At this rate, it will take 7 hours to sell out.

Craig234: I hate when things like 'Director's Cut' aren't explained. I already own Assassin's creed, don't know if I'm missing anything in 'Director's Cut'. Looked for a minute and it was sold out.
I just looked into it and nothing is diff. You get Audo/Video Options you don't get from the Console. Other then for the PC vers you have 1 or 2 new missions you can do to gather info.

{I own it for both 360 + PC)
I'll help lower the count by 1, if someone wants to trade me some early games that where on sale for it :D
So I went sleep 6 hours ago since the start of repeated sales, now came on and saw JK 2, how long has it been there? 5 hours? Lol.

Khaleesia87: Yeah you are right, I guess it's just misinformation. I never really cared to confirm it neither because I didn't care that much. Bought a lot of games in here and I'm pretty satisfied with that =D

Jack Keane 2...well at least it's only 100 copies and not 400 =P

Chevette: You used to be able to register them on here if you had a copy of The Witcher or The Witcher 2, since they are made by the people who own GOG, but I don't know if that was a limited time promotion or what.
Oh ok, I actually got The Witcher 1 and 2 when here was some kind of promo and it was like SUPER CHEAP =D

Fictionvision: I know one. Jack Keane 2's sale rate.

BananaJane: Aaaahahhahaha! Get the drum set!
Jack Keane 2 ---> long (Jacking too long)

Gunsik: this is making me sad... i dont even blink when one sale is going down but i still didnt saw a freebie it just changed to jack keane... if not my friend and You guys i wouldnt even know there was chance for pudle... I hope if gog decide to make similar sale they will find some way to give chances for all gog lovers for free game

Psyringe: Would have been quite possible, actually. Example:

Let a "free game" offer stand for 1 minute. During that minute, people can click a "Want it" button. After the minute is over, the copies are randomly distributed among the participants.

An additional option would have been to give people the option of either clicking "want it", or "Don't want it", with the latter giving them a bonus the next time they _do_ click "want it" on a free game. This would have increased the chances that free games find their way to people who actually care about them, instead of the current system, where you have to click the button so fast that you can't even check what you would be getting.
Excellent idea.I hope GOG looks at this and puts it into practice in future. Has to change :)
well it seems that we all can take now nice long nap...
lets bet how long it take till this Jack Kane will be done... I say atleast 90 minutes ...
What was on sale recently?

glumpot: I thought the counter was broken... Kept hitting refresh. The thing I don't get, is why did they do this sale on a Wednesday? Why not on a Friday or Saturday when most people aren't going to have to go to bed early to get up for work or school?
... and actually drunk enough to buy Jack Keane by the looks of it.

I'll trade you a scary face.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Yeah, too bad they don't have a 30 minute timer for each offer or something.
I just looked on NeoGaf and saw they had a thread about the sale, someone there pointed out Jack Keane 2's review page.

I expect to see Jack Keane off for the next hour or so.
I'm pretty sure Jack Keane is gonna be up there for at least 4 hours.
