Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Thinking about it... how shall I ever sleep again without a Keaning? What have you done?? YOU MAD MEN!

BlueLemon: Want to say that, for the most part, I've enjoyed the sale and (especially) this thread.. It was great reading (most ;)) of the messages and I enjoyed it immensely!!

Hope you all, ladies and gentlemen (and everyone in between) enjoyed it too and have a good day, or night!!!

Extra note: Sometimes I've read people calling everyone guys, or chaps, Sir (when they don't know their gender) assuming that everyone is male here. I've +1'd the people who tend to include everyone, or write ladies and gentlemen, guys and gals...

I'm really surprised there are guys out there who still assume women don't play any games, or converse on their threads.. When games started it was a family thing, everyone played them, and I know women who have been playing for decades... I know women at pension ages playing them! I also know a few women on here who don't want to admit it because they end up getting treated differently (at least that is their experience in other places). It's 50/50 basically..

Perhaps there are still more men in the industry, but as consumers it is still pretty equal, so keep that in mind.. It can be very non-inclusive, certain places can be hostile even, but for the most part GOG hasn't been like other gaming areas.. Let's keep it that way.. :)

EDIT: Forgot to mention: gog ROCKS, especially because of the people!!! :)
:( I'll go and edit my post for political correctness. Valid point though
Alright, its been a great weekend... thanks to everyone who made it even greater... if it wasnt for this post and all the people posting here i wouldve passed out on Friday and it wouldve made everything just go slower. Thanks to everyone who did giveaways, even though i suck at those and my ISP is to slow, but its part of why this community is so friggen awesome.

Was just about to post that too <.<

At 1773 pages of posts, I'd say this was a success! Nice one GOG!

ErekoseDM: probably 1 code with all 3 games.

if you already have 1+2 you can use the code and absorb the 3rd game, but 1+2 will still be alive on the same code.

CorranHorn: Would´t you get the first two ones as a gift if you already owned them?
exactly

1 code with all 3 games bound to the code.

you use the code, and absorb all the games you dont have to your GOG account.

anything you did have would still be alive and available on the same code for gifting.

(just dont 'gift' first or your going to lose D3)
Missed most of the promo but was there the last day every hour for 2 minutes and now the last 7 hours striaght through :3 but took up Dungeon Keeper Gold, Divine Divinity and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. So I'm quite happy although I hope I can expand my GOG Library far more at the winter sale ^^

Oh and great thanks for the Free Thief: Gold from nightrunner227 :)

My GOG Account is relativly old but I myself are very new to the GOG Community. So it was nice to meet you guys! I think I will be much more frequent when it comes to sales now on GOG. I have quite a large Steam Library (352 Games) but my GOG Library is very small. So I'm looking forward to expand that in the future ^^

Have a nice day guys!

It's not PC at all. It's just not ignoring half the population. Thanks for noticing it though, no need to change all your posts though! I didn't -1 anyone for it, lol. :)
Now that was how an epic sale should be, we need more sale like this.

Ooooh, it's like that then. Sounds magical :3 Thanks, uprated (again :D)!
Is it finally.. over?

Managed to buy Psychonauts, Jade Empire, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, and the Leisure Suit Larry Classics. All on the final round, yet I constantly felt the need to keep checking what was on sale all the time, and even had a couple of restless nights. All for saving a few bucks. What the hell is wrong with me?
Nice PROMO Gog.com and also an awesome way to improve the feeling of "community" of us, your customers. I think we all had so much fun these days.

Congratulations! You keaned all us! :)
