Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

JustSayin: Are you asking about mapping 4 different actions on the space bar? ;)
I didn't take part in the discussion as I don't really care what's "superior". I play game to have fun, not to impress people.

Starmaker: No. I played Rogue Legacy with a keyboard (arrows for movement, wasdSPACE for actions), sucked at it, got a controller and sucked at it even more. I find it frankly bizarre that movement got assigned to the left hand at all. I would seriously appreciate a mirrored controller with a direction pad for the right thumb.
Personally I bind movement keys to my left hand on any game where I am using the mouse for anything. When it comes to platformers I do the opposite, right hand gets movement, left gets action keys. Though I suppose technically my left hand is always getting the "action keys", it just gets four extra in FPS type games.

mm3n: I got the same code, but it seems you were faster than me in bruteforcing, so congrats :P Enjoy the game, all D&D titles are a must-have, sad I missed most of them this sale again :/ Maybe next time.

MGShogun: Holiday sale will be here in few weeks. :DDDDDDDDDDD
NO. Please no. I mean, yes, but please allow some time to figure out my payment issues, I'm on the verge of a mental shutdown knowing the holidays are coming and my budgets are far from perfect. -____-

ROFLMFAO!!!!!!
GOG needs to poll the community for an S-Grade Bundle. Stuff that is truly innovative, truly influential, stuff that people have been talking about for years and will be talking about for years to come. Stuff that people NEED to have played. If someone tried to tell me that Madden's Call of Halo Battle of Honor Part 37 NEEDED to be played?

I might very well break their kneecaps. If you're that stupid, someone needs to give you a wakeup call.

zeffyr: Remember the second loop showed up? And the third one? (O o)
avatar
Austrobogulator: Seriously, this should not have had three loops =/ I'm sure this promo went on much longer than Gog expected...
And, yet, they sold every single game...so I'm sure they're happy. :)

kklsid: Falling asleep? Do some brain training!

Read the following key backwards and if you happen to be fast enough, you can redeem yourself your very own Hospital, where you can cure your sleep disorders.

HYSP-EK7P-ZLA9-5LXU
I got Theme Hospital. Thank you for the drop. +1

wanderlust76: Nah just never heard of Rogue back in the day. I played some of the old C64 and Atari computer stuff though.

Khalaq: We used to do timed runs of Adventure on the 2600. Too bad I don't have a working system or the family could still enjoy it. They really knew how to make games, back then....
I would be surprised if someone hasn't made a javascript version by now as the source code was released ages ago.

What confuses me the most is that there is a key for JUMP and one for UP (which means USE). Checked out Rogue LEgacy yesterday and failed miserably :D

SpiderFighter: That's been around since September. I think you actually have to "purchase" the free games for them to show up though, unless you're just starting a new account, then they show up automatically..

The_Blog: Yeah i know that. Already "purchased it" ^^

Question to all of you
:

Just a random question. Do you think its ok to share your bought DRM Free games with Friends? I have a llot games on steam, some on gog and allot of drm free through bundles. So I quite have a larger library and I like to share them with friends when they wanna try a game they never heard of or something like that. Actually thats also one of my main motivations for DRM Free games.

What is your opinion about it?
I'm in the arsehole category so personally hell yeah! I lent my games to mates all the time during high school and occasionally still do. As long as they're the ones who ask in person, having a digital collection isn't going to stop me from sharing the games I love. Outside of friends is where I draw the line though. Like Knofbath, I'm a reformed pirate :)

Maybe the thinking was most people are right handed so use that hand to do most of the actions. Older games had options where you could change to a setup like what you're talking about.
People buy more Psychonauts or I will have to leave the PC before the sale is over... :(

Jump would be "W", and Use would be "E" in a side-scroller.
