Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

The_Blog: Looks like they added "Flight of the Amazon Queen" as a free one. Strangely its not getting shown as free in my library. I assume this is something like Duke Nukem that goes away after a while. Looks quite good to be honest. Might check it out. :D

SpiderFighter: That's been around since September. I think you actually have to "purchase" the free games for them to show up though, unless you're just starting a new account, then they show up automatically..
Grabbed "flight of the amazon queen". thanks for that

mrking58: 98 copies left
Beat me to it! ;)

zeffyr: And after Psychonauts we would get...?
Sleep. GOG's twitter feed said this is the last game. I'm going to miss this thread and sale when it's gone.

Prydeless: DRM-Free Fall Insomnia Sale Part 2!
This time with 303 games, 5 rounds and Jack Keane 3.

Oofles: As long as you aren't trying to make a profit, letting friends demo or borrow for a bit is fine.
avatar
The_Blog: Ofcourse no profit D:
The rule of thumb I use is: to try not to have more than 1 person playing the game at same time (that includes you).

CarrionCrow: Still thinking about an ad from Walmart to get a PS3 and a couple games for 200 dollars. Pretty sure I'd rather have my prostate checked by a drunk blind doctor with hook hands. Can't stand Walmart, and I can guarantee I'll save more money than I would there by buying games from GOG, and feel about a million times better about myself in the process.
I can recommend the PS3, there are some games that absolutely are worth buying if you like those kind of games, PC really don´t have anything that can compete to some of those games imho.

The games that I would buy again are:
Infamous (haven´t played the second one yet)
Uncharted 1-2 (haven´t got the third one yet)
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
most of Sonys HD collection if you never played them on PS2 (own God Of War collection only but I´ve played Sly 1 and 2, Jak & Daxter 1 & 2, Ratchet & Clank 1-3 and the PS3 version looks just as good if not even better)
Ratchet and Clank : Tools Of Destruction

Kaitu: DOUBLE DIGITS PEOPLE!!! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!! REPEAT, THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!

Faeja_Vu: Wait, so what are we supposed to do now? Prep for our comas, or run around in circles screaming because we won't know what to do with ourselves when this is over? Both maybe?
For now? Recover. Replenish both our strength and our funds. Gear up, decide what to go for next time around.

legitster: I think WillofD said he solved it

The_Blog: Yeah i know that. Already "purchased it" ^^

Question to all of you
:

Just a random question. Do you think its ok to share your bought DRM Free games with Friends? I have a llot games on steam, some on gog and allot of drm free through bundles. So I quite have a larger library and I like to share them with friends when they wanna try a game they never heard of or something like that. Actually thats also one of my main motivations for DRM Free games.

What is your opinion about it?
No. Don't ruin this for the rest of us.
Buying all the games is ok, but when will I have the time to play them... ?
