Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Awesome!

I wake up at 4am with.....err..... 'vindaloo-induced stomach issues'.... and it turns out I'm just in time to get the last chance for Expeditions:Conquistador!

It'll probably feel less awesome if the game is still keaneing around 4 hours from now.....
I can't believe it. I woke up, and there it is: Expeditions: Conquistador.

And paypal worked this time, too. I missed Thief Gold, because Paypal did not work properly.

MysterD: We can have Mega Man series, as well. I'm cool w/ that.
MM2 was great. :D

RichterSnipes: Probably my favorite of the NES games, too. I don't think there are many other games even today that have as good a soundtrack as that game. Wily Stage 1, anyone?

Mega Man 3 also sits high up on my list of favorites. It sure beats the sorry excuse of a game MM3 was on DOS!
Mega Man 1, probably one of the first games I bought for my NES (which I stupidly sold with a Zapper, Duck Hunt and some other games) and man did I spend time on finishing that one. The boss where you had to remember the sequence and time the jumping was so damn hard, died a lot but finally I was able to beat it and it was such a joy few games today can give me (Punch Out was another game that made me feel that joy) =).

you should't worry about that

JoseWisemang: You may reward the original person you picked as I already have Arkham City (good game, I do recommend)
Just wanted to be apart of the fun :D

BTCentral: Oh, okay! I'd already PM'd you but if you have it thanks for the answering anyway!

In that case howardc007 gets it with "A Mobius Strip" as though it was not the answer I was looking for, it was indeed a correct answer that I had not thought of!
Thank you kind sir!
My download of Expeditions is going very slow, must be all the traffic on the site... don't your people ever go to bed?

+1 on this, I'm putting my purchases on PayPal "Bill Me Later" so I can pay it off in one payment which might be less noticeable than ~20 separate charges.

1322: What?! You didn't buy Jack Keane 2?! :p

Glad you found some games of interest. All the ones I've seen come up that I would have bought were ones I already had. Though I've been seriously thinking about Alpha Centauri... Now if I can only catch it while if it comes back...

robbknoll: No...but i was there through those dark dark times of JK 2 and RCR... I was waking up in the middle of the night checking were they finished. Ive never been addicted to something so much, im pretty sure if GOG continued this indefinitely id look like this:

lol Love the pic! Understood. I watched JK2 go down to 50% and said the hell with it and decided to just check back every so often, so I know I probably missed out on something. I have enough games on the back log anyway...

I bought 15 through insomnia (adding another soon) and 1 through weekend sale....was only planning on buying about 5 or 6 to begin with - but so many good games and so many great prices.
