Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

moonshineshadow: Please let the next one be Jade Empire, I need to sleep and then work...
Agreed.

Vonnix77: I see psychonauts is still on the list...does anyone know if GOG's version supports a controller? I'm gonna have to lay down soon this sale has me drained lol. If psychonauts has controller support i might make that my last purchase.
It does, but it's not great. I used a 360 controller and the triggers didn't map in the game. I ended up using a combination of XPadder for trigger controls + the game's mapping for the other buttons. Someone on the Psychonauts forums made a patch that I think has better controller support.
Please let it be Thief II...followed by Conquistador right after....then I can finally break free from these shackles GoG have given me

RandomJC: The money I've given Gog...
Think of it as a tithe.

if by "not too long" you mean nearly a year ago then yeah.
I've only bought 4 games, but they're ones I really wanted. Would have cost me $56, but only paid $12.50. LOVE this sale! :D

Good night guys and gals! This promo will most probably be over when I wake up. Good luck if you still wait for a nice deal. And good luck with freebies :)
Yeah i was well happy when I got my Duke Nukem 3D for free thanks to GoG. It has some awesome mods for it too

Beelzebubb: I hate it when I accidently refresh the main page and have to watch the sale number scroll back down.

Also whats the correct spelling? Accidently or Accidentally? The forums spell checker says its Accidentally which means Ive been misspelling it my entire life.
It's "accidentally" and the spell checker is part of your web browser rather than the forums. :) Also, you can probably download language packs to refine the language the spell checker uses. For example, Firefox uses en_US by default, but I'm Canadian so I use the en_CA dictionary pack. (addons.mozilla.org) Other browsers will have similar functionality etc.

jpwiseguy: I'd say Spellforce Platinum, but any of those could become a Keaner if GOG puts up too many copies. Those are all pretty popular, and a lot of people have them already.

Russonc: My worry is Psychonauts...although a great game, it was in the weekend (sane) sale as well....
That is actually one that I missed - I'll be getting it
