Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Shendue: It's excellent and visually it's really stunning (Studio Ghibli collaboration, this is all there is to say), but if you never played a JRPG i can't foresee if you are gonna like the gameplay. Never played a JRPG? Seriously? They are very different from WRPG games. If you like WRPGs you may even hate them.

Cardian: It's quite light on the grinding needed to finish the story, I think, but for completionists it can be a tough cookie. Otherwise, it has an emotional storyline, great cutscenes (both with ingame graphics and Ghibli animation) and quite a lot to offer. The battle system can be a bit tricky at the beginning but you'll quickly get into it.
Thanks, will definitely give it a go when I finish some of the other games I am playing through now. :)

SG0: While we're talking sales, don't forget that in about 45 minutes a new batch of 7-8 games will go up (heavily discounted) on the humble bundle store!
Nice :)

stutzjon: I fairly certain but I'll have to check again. I literally toggled everything for about an hour straight. I should also say that Witcher 1 runs kind of choppy as well - which is strange. Maybe CD Projekt has something against my computer :)
Now, THAT'S strange!

EX-Deimon: Brutal Legend?
My same guess. I will see what's next and sleep.

Scary Kyo's avatar btw!
It sure as hell took the PS3 to finally get some decent JRPGs. Even the 360 had great games like Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey, but now Sony has redeemed themselves with the JRPG library they have. Lots of obscure ones too, which is what i'm into mainly.
My daughter uses a little 400 buck lappy that i bought her as a birthday gift.

Thing has a i3 cpu, 6gb ram and IntelHD 4000 integrated graphics and she could get withcher 2 running.

Just put the game to low. if all else fails play at 720p resolution upscaled like the console version...

gamingrn: Army of Darkness is great, but also, if you haven't seen it and like the amazing Bruce (and let's face it, who doesn't?), check out My Name is Bruce for more amusement.
My name is Bruce is awesome. I also really liked Bubba Ho-Thep. And I'm contemplating rewatching Brisco County Jr. on Netflix to see if it stood the test of time. I'm afraid, it didn't.
Jade Empire?

again, I have no problem running other graphic intensive like Mass Effect 2+3 and Skyrim at 30 FPS. Is there a patch that I need to download?

northern7: stay tuned....at the end of the sale they are going to offer 10 free games of each and every one in succession...
Given how the freebie redeeming system seems to work, we stand no chance to grab one.

Wouldn't be surprised if the sale will simply end without any closure, although that will be a little disappointing.

COGNITION $10.09 x200

Well, shit.
