Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

dal4fsu: Witcher 2 it is...looks like whomever said it would be last due to the Developer owning this site was off ;). Just Keaning you!

snip3rfire: You can thank me now ;)

A little bit of reverse psychology that one. I'm sure GOG staff were overlooking this thread, and they just had to prove my theory of The Witcher 2 being last wrong. Worked a charm!
err then can Jade Empire be last next.... :)
ok... I'll just start believing that Jade Empire will be the last game of the sale, so I won't be annoyed anymore. And if it comes earlier I can be happy about it :D
Beware... The end is coming... :>
Too many people were convinced of the Witcher-be-last theory, I predict a fair amount of future posts like "No!! Witcher 2 is gone? I was sleeping/working/taking a dump!" :P

Just give me a tick to develop some insane theory on why it absolutely has to be the last game and I'm sure it'll be next.
Odds for jade being last just narrowed,
Well if I worked at GoG, I'd have put Witcher 2 at the end and renamed it to "Assassins of Keane".

Guess it's a good thing I don't :D
Aaaaand i'm back.
Somehow i was able to ninja-buy all stuff i was looking for during work on my smartphone. So far i didn't miss a single game i wanted. I had second thoughts on not getting Rogue Legacy, too, so i bought it from the Humble Store. Not as cheap as in this promo, but still discounted.

That's quite a dump.

HaydenRead: So what has gone since "I have no mouth and I must scream"
And is Witcher 2 one of those games that you should play Witcher 1 first, or is the story a stand alone story?
I played them the wrong way round, completed TW2 before TW and it was fine as a stand-alone story.
You'll definitely have a better understanding of the overall "game world" if you do play them in order though.

Both are excellent games, though I have to admit TW2 was my fav of the two.

I concur. Let it be last next! Everyone also wait 5 minutes before clicking on the buy button.

Any way you like. Just mind that if you finish W1 first you can export your save to W2.
Thanks to kklsid, i got the only pending game i wanted from this sale.

But now checking at the ones left to come on The List i might bite on King of Dragon Pass, any comments about it, is it worth it?

Thank you!.
Witcher 2: The Assassins of Keanes
Was there anything between Legacy of Kain and Witcher 2?
