Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

It seems I missed Neverwinter Nights 1 Diamond Edition. Did anyone get an extra code/copy that I could buy from him or her via paypal for 2,00 or 2,50 $? (I was fully willing to spend the money, but I just couldn't be at my PC earlier today.) PM me if that sounds good. Thanks!

"Woe to you oh earth and sea

for he knows that time is short
let him who hath understanding
reckon the name of the beast
for it is a human name
and its name is KEANE

Stoltverd: Can anybody explain what am i doing here?

DrRoxo: Would any of you fellow Keane worshippers kindly link me to what's still to come in this insane sale?

Thank you! May Omnipotent Keane give you rest, whenever you need it.

jpwiseguy: Ahh yes, Puddle. The Keaning is strong with this one.

golea: You don't know the meaning of Keane. You should have witnessed it in it's full glory.
People have been bastardizing the meaning of keaning and The Keane because they weren't there like we were. And even some who were have been using it with abandon on all sorts of uncalled for situations.

No one who spent those four and a half hours barely watching the counter move, in total despair, waiting for 100, then 83, then 50 copies of Our Lord Keane to sell is going to use the sacred words in vain.

There are already other games that took longer than Jack Keane 2 to be sold, but the sheer psychological factor that The Keane had only 100 copies to sell and for hours on end the counter didn't move at all, to the point we started thinking GOG was removing 2 copies of the game every 10 minutes, because there was no way people were buying it, makes it the hardest game to endure during this sale. Hands down.

The Keane reigns supreme.

LOL, nice.

Chandoraa: Kind of unfair that Keane is taking all the heat when there were several other notorious stallers around. I'm looking at you, Hotline Miami ¬¬. I'll still stick to keaning around, since it's fun XD.

Cardian: Still, Jack Keane 2 sold 100 copies in 5 hours in round 2. 8 hours for 600 copies of RCR in the second round feels like a breeze in comparison.
A couple of factors should be considered here.

If I remeber correctly JK2 had 60% discount which means it was offered at $11.99.

RCR was at $3.74 (was it?), which is around three times cheaper.

JK2 sold 100 copies in 5 hours - roughly 20 copies per hour.
RCR sold 600 copies in 8 hours - roughly 75 copies per hour.

If you compensate the price difference you'll get around 25 copies per hour for RCR which isn't so far from JK2.

Guys, guys, here's a question, which would drive a man more insane, and do it faster:

Cthulhu or Keane?

I was there. That's why I can correct that the next big wall after 83 was 70.

Keane is benevolent. He brings rest to weary. I have to go with Cthulhu then.
