Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

OK, just to prove that I really need some sleep:

Oh my God, they killed Keany!
(if it has already been done in one of the previous 30.000+ posts, I apologise)
Kind of unfair that Keane is taking all the heat when there were several other notorious stallers around. I'm looking at you, Hotline Miami ¬¬. I'll still stick to keaning around, since it's fun XD.

Not so sure about that, mate.

jpwiseguy: Ahh yes, Puddle. The Keaning is strong with this one.
Patience, patience, young padawan.

dedoporno: Oh, I don't like it so much, it's just not that bad of a game. I'm sure many people worked hard for it and just want to give them at least some credit for it. Don't get me wrong. I'm OK with using it as a byword for slow-selling and in-the-way offer, because that it was. I just don't think it is sensible to judge it as a game without even trying it.

zlep: Not that we ever will, but I'd love to know exactly the effect this has on Jack Keane's future sales. The name is now very well known among a lot of people who would never have heard of the title. Many will appreciate that game quality wasn't the sole influencer of sales speed, so even as they use the "Jack Keane meme" they're not really holding it against the series. They're now potential future buyers. Others *will* see it as an indicator that Jack Keane 2 is the worst game in the world, up there with Big Rigs. Not only will they not buy; they may spread that idea to potential buyers, harming sales.

I'd like to think that the sales benefits from the former group will outweigh the latter. Tales of the Keaning have been the source of much entertainment over the last few days, and a sanity saver amid the sleep-deprivation. It would be sad to see Jack Keane suffer from that community service.
Toatlly agree with you if they had managed to offer a much more attractive price point then i dont think the situation would have ever happened, we would have had slow sellers . BUT as you say now the number of potential players of the game has grown expotentially as it has been talked about on other websites and by word of mouth. SO when it reappears at a nicer price point ppl will likely say "hmm heard it was not good but at this price ill take a punt"

You, sir, made me laugh.

You know what, fellow GOGers? Puddle is actually a very nice little game. What, don't believe me?

Here you go. :-) SP3M-BEW4-5T6G-7ME2
Did I miss any of the Fallout games?

Thrasher1984: Did I miss any of the Fallout games?
Nope because they aren't a part of this sale.

Also RCR. I think GOG overdid it with the number of copies on these. Otherwise they're both excellent games.
Can anybody explain what am i doing here?
I already bought everything i wanted...
Why am i still coming?
Did Keane put a spell on me?
Would any of you fellow Keane worshippers kindly link me to what's still to come in this insane sale?

None are on the Insomnia sale list
I'm surprised no one has made a drying up or trickle related joke about Puddle...

Still, Jack Keane 2 sold 100 copies in 5 hours in round 2. 8 hours for 600 copies of RCR in the second round feels like a breeze in comparison.
