Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Damn, now i'm tempted to add Tomb Raider 1+2+3 to my list I don't know why. I did enjoy TR II on the PS1 back in the day. Don't think I even played TR3 enough to actually know wether I enjoyed it or not. TR II was badass though
Very nice promo I'd say. I am actually following it in a way, leaving the tab open and such :)
I've stumbled recently on Nexus: The Jupiter Incident and Privateer for few spacebucks. Very nice prices.

Though, one thing that I've noticed, is whenever a free game appears, it is taken so ridiculusly quick, it's not even a possibility to reedem it for me. So far I've stumbled accross two free games, with no luck.

Oh well :)

Nonetheless, once again I say, great promo you have here.

clcaztx: One of the best video experiences ever. I play Skyrim in the sketchiest way possible because of these games, and it still doesn't compare to Thief.

Cardian: In any game where stealth is an option, I usually go that route. Like Deus Ex or even Quest for Glory.
Me too. There's just something rather wonderful about sneaking...
If you are tempted dont wait.

The thief games go for 10 bucks each. Pay 30 dollars later or 6 dollars now? thats big savings.

All three theif games are very good and the third one has a sick texture mod that makes the game look like a new release.

You need a ninja certificate to grab the freebies.

Alien8n: Application support with IIS/SQL/VB.NET

I'm a bit of a hobby web developer running my own .net websites but my work experience is in technical support, primarily with bespoke applications (I have a freakish learning curve so pick up new software really easily). One of the reasons I love sim games so much really, as well as the old football management sims :)

Blazz17: Sort of thing i want to go into later but the closest school that will do anything with IT is a state away, *sigh*

Good luck getting the job though, sounds like a fun carrer compared to others.
Oh yeah, and don't worry about school IT. I didn't learn anything about IT at school, it was all learnt afterwards. Look into technologies that you can play with for free, there's express versions of SQL and Visual Studio which will allow you to play around with programming your own databases and website. Another good piece of software is DotNetNuke which you can get a website up and running in under an hour once you know what you're doing. Grab a copy of that and build a blog, or hobby site to build up some knowledge.
accidentally nodded off during LSL. Anyone knows what I missed?

Minmataro: A hardcore stealth action game. Think splinter cell but with daggers and arrows.

Blazz17: Never liked splinter cell, the controls just felt strange to me
Well the thiefs are in first person. ever play dishonored?

Yeah I can't get any freebie too... Wish they would award me with some
bonus points for each buy.

nothing, this is what immediately followed that, I had the same thing, took 3 minutes for my brain to wake up and realize we were still on LSL at the time with 10 left.
went for a 3 days trip and just turned the pc on. STILL GOING ON??
Not moving as fast as I thought it would.
