Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Fictionvision: btw, this sale is proof of how evil GOG is.

Instead of letting people play games and enjoy themselves, they are making us stare at the screen yelling at that last copy of Jack Keane or Omerta to sell.
Omerta didn't took that long to sell, despite people wanting to believe otherwise.
For those that like to do some passive monitoring from glancing at their browser's title:

function updateTitle() { document.title = $(".js-left-count").text() + ":" + $(".game__title").text(); }
var tid = setInterval(updateTitle, 50);

// To stop:
clearInterval(tid);

For Chrome, enter in the console: (Crtl+Shift+J)

patter1992: So hotline Miami could be free and cost something?
Yeah, anything that came up for free has also come up on sale too.

CrowTRobo: 2900+ posts? holy shit. Just got home from work. *sigh* So I guess I missed 74 sales/free items based on that list on reddit. Some of us aren't able to check the internet or buy stuff during work hours.

Oh well, with the amount of games I have that I are waiting to be played, its probably for the better.
Don't worry about it man. These games are repeating on some kind of a random loop. If you stick around long enough I am sure you will find the games you are looking for (featured on the list here - http://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/comments/1qjevg/gog_fall_insomnia_megathread_limited_quantity)
I wonder if anyone actually bought a game or two they didn't really want, just to make things move along faster... :3
Grabbed AssCreed DC and Jade Empire SE. This sale have been a addictive sale. Sitting around many hours to look offers. Maybe that`s it for now, need to go to sleep. Thanks GOG ;)

There were also less copies, and well, it was a bit sooner.

I had time to go to the gym, go to the supermarket, make some food for now, some for tomorrow, prepare a trip for this weekend and coming back. And the sale is still on.

WMDMaster: If you're gonna pull a stunt like this then better make sure the servers are up to the task. Clicking on something one second after it comes up and getting the stupid ''servers overwhelmed'' disclaimer that mysteriously persists as long as the deal does is a good way to not be taken seriously.
buy a copy of railroad tycoon 3, i'm sure the servers aren't overwhelmed right now...
Just woke up. what games have I missed so far? :(
Too lazy to read through 60 pages of thread to find out...

chuppy: Ok, so what do I do if a game doesn't show up in my library, but the transaction appears to be pending in my bank account?

I've bought Neverwinter Nights 2, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, Baldur's Gate, Primordia and Planescape Torment. Those are 5 game that have appeared in my library. I also tried to buy Baldur's Gate 2 but I got several errors during checkout and no confirmation, not even by e-mail. But still, a sixth transaction of 1,99$ appears in my account.

So the money's gone, I didn't get the game and I don't know what to do.

Any ideas?
I have a similar problem with Chronicles of Riddick. I send an e-mail to the support with the data of my transaction ( i used paypal and use the data that i got from them) and they added Riddick to my game library. They work really fast, just send an e-mail to the support and they´ll fix that issue.
Is this going to be over by tomorrow? If this goes on Thursday than GOG has halted humanity.
BTW, if anyone bought themselves an extra copy of Don't Starve and would want to sell it for the sale price of $4.99, let me know. Last night I watched the "WTF is" video of it and it intrigued me. Just not sure if its my type of game, but at that price, I would grab it.
