Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

MaximumBunny: Tropico seems like it might take a while. You (yes, YOU) should play some Mirror's Edge while we all wait.

techknight1337: I really, really wanted to like Mirror's Edge, but I agree with the Zero Punctuation review. First-person platforming is hard times, particularly with narrow margins of error.
Well, I just got a new Logitech F310 gamepad to replace my 7 year old Logitech the other day. Injustice loves me now and it should work wonders for Mirrors Edge.

BHTrellis: Thanks. Always wanted to try that one out.

Finally was fast enough for a freebie. :P

Cardian: The chances are much higher for Origin games ;)
If it had been a steam key i'd have been all over that freebie, however i do not want Origin.
Well, looks like Tropico 3: Keane Edition will allow me some sleep. C'mon Thief 1+2!

garrus74: This sale has taken its toll not just on us, but our machines too it seems. Somehow my desktop bsod'ed, and then is telling me there is a correctable memory error on 1 of the DIMM's. Just randomly putting it out there - anyone had a similar problem, what do you usually do (memtest, something else?)? Just don't relish the prospect of talking to Dell tech support, shifting my work files to my laptop for now... Sorry for the offtopic

Knofbath: Memory problems are usually solved by reseating the RAM, or just hoping it was a one time problem. If you have to replace a stick because it's failing, then Memtest 386 can help you figure out which stick is the culprit.
Thanks, unfortunately I can't delve inside my work pc without voiding warranty since it's a Dell workstation. I guess I'll disable the problematic DIMM after I figure out which one it is.

BHTrellis: I still play Kingdoms of Amalur at times. And Arkham City that requires it.
avatar
Knofbath: Arkham City GOTY is on Steam and in the current Humble Bundle if you want to partially escape from Origin's clutches.
Well, I got it off Origin for $10 last January so I HAVE to use Origin.
And Dead Space 3 as well.

Ahhh you gog! I hate you!
Fot two days I waited for king's bounty crossworlds and when I shut an eye for three hours you put it on sale... pff
I'm so dissapointed.
Alright, well I'm going to take a queue from several others on here and take a break while Tropico works its magic. Pleasant Days/Nights to all and I'll see about returning later on.
I'm off to bed, if anyone gets a Thief 3, Theme Hospital or Spellforce code they don't need, please send it to me via message, my friend was looking for them.

I know how it feels. Every time Neverwinter Nights 2 or even NWN Diamond were on sale I was at work. So I missed them each time,

Revenile: Huh I seem to have unused steam keys for:
Dead Space
Burnout Paradise
Crysis 2 Maximum
Medal of Honor
Command & Conquer: Red alert 3 - Uprising
I could use that C&C key, though with this sale I'm not sure when I'd have time to play it.

The game is short but really fun. The visuals are just amazing! I hope the sequel announced is even better.

Last time I worked with Dell machines they had a diagnostic test built-in, something like F11 or F12 at boot-up to a diagnostic partition. Run a memory test from there.
