Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Craig234: Funny thing, though, now there practically is no 'forum' for most people to discuss any important issues. There are no more 'tow halls all the people come to and talk'. Making the propagandists a lot more powerful.
avatar
Shendue: Actually, there's plenty of forums, chats, message systems and social network to discuss any matter without annoying people that may be interested in politics and well informed as well, but has the common sense not to discuss the subject on totally unrelated forum with a very precise subject which is completely different. If you went to discuss about the end of the world or questioning the existence of god in a police station or in a grocery, chances are that they call some mental health institute.
It's 4 am here, i've been awake for too many hours and i'm not taking literal walls of spam words that have nothing to do with the subject of the forum as an acceptable thing, sorry.
I would have just directed him to gamefaqs to banter about politics and games >_> Most of the forums here are about games and mostly classic games/indie games, and whatnot.

On a game related note, I see I did not miss much once I gotten some dinner ^_^ Theme Hospital will probably stick around for awhile.

gamingrn: Theme Hospital has me thinking, any fans of the TV show Scrubs out there?
Yeah Scrubs was a great show, the only hospital show I watched the others were just too melodramatic.
avatar
nijuu: Odds next game is one of the Thief games? all 3 havent had a last chance yet....
avatar
Buenro-games: Freaking GOG has probably realized most are waiting for Jade and the Thieves and will realize them last.

Grrrr @ GOG
I don't think there's any conspiracy.
Hey, got me my Miasmata copy! Curious to try it out, but it didn't seem full price worthy from reading the reviews (especially the most helpful one).

ALMOST got that free Reus, never got so close, it actually registered my click, but I ended on the "sorry, this offer has expired" page.

Craig234: There's the holiday sale.
avatar
BoxOfSnoo: I know... I was watching for a couple of days though, thinking "nothing I really want, except maybe SMAC"...

Maybe it's just bedtime!
I bought an extra copy. I knew how bad I felt after losing my chance to snag NWN2, so I figured someone might want it.

Schemilix: Arguing about arguing about politics is super-meta.

Take it to PM I think is what Shendue is quite rightly suggesting, fellas. Or ladies. You all seem to be men though.
My point precisely, thank you, Sir. I don't want to sound rude, but i also should note that going off-topic is against the forum rules.
Well, I've bought 15 games thus far - way more than I intended to coming into this promo. Though I have to admit I'm very happy with them. :)

I may pick up a few games yet, namely I Have No Mouth and Witcher 2. *crosses fingers in hopes they show up sooner rather than later*

I also have some gift copies that I'm looking to trade out. I have an extra Alpha Centauri and Space Colony HD. I'm looking for Startopia and possibly Evoland.

GhostwriterDoF: I spared the thread a rebuttal... :P
Thanks dude!

I know you're kidding over there but it ain't sexist, we established earlier in this thread that none of you are female. Well at least nobody on when Xenxander called everyone 'not female' and nobody rebutted.

ErekoseDM: how many hours of gaming is Theme Hospital?
avatar
groze: As many as you want. It does have a sort of campaign, but it's pretty much open-ended. You can keep playing forever, at some point. And, believe me, you will want to do just that.

Depending on your sim-skill and how familiarized you are with these kinds of games, the campaign could take from as little as six hours to as much as 20.
TY

a 6ish+ hour game i could handle (eventually)
ill bite the bullet on this one then

You put my purchases to shame. I've only snagged...3 games so far? I think? Well, 3 titles at least. I have some multiples (and hoping to snag more before the sale is over) to raffle off after this promo is done.
LARRY LARRY!!
