Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Craig234: Funny thing, though, now there practically is no 'forum' for most people to discuss any important issues. There are no more 'tow halls all the people come to and talk'. Making the propagandists a lot more powerful.
avatar
Shendue: Actually, there's plenty of forums, chats, message systems and social network to discuss any matter without annoying people that may be interested in politics and well informed as well, but has the common sense not to discuss the subject on totally unrelated forum with a very precise subject which is completely different. If you went to discuss about the end of the world or questioning the existence of god in a police station or in a grocery, chances are that they call some mental health institute.
It's 4 am here, i've been awake for too many hours and i'm not taking literal walls of spam words that have nothing to do with the subject of the forum as an acceptable thing, sorry.
And you missed my point, given that 99% of people never get anywhere near those places, so the effect is that there is very little discussion of issues, leaving people uninformed and easy to manipulate - and happily demanding to be.
If this promo goes on much longer we can all check into Theme Hospital!:D
There is also openTH. Relies on these files be updates everything.

Except people will call it Keane's Hospital. ;)
Arguing about arguing about politics is super-meta.

Take it to PM I think is what Shendue is quite rightly suggesting, fellas. Or ladies. You all seem to be men though.
Theme Hospital has me thinking, any fans of the TV show Scrubs out there?

WillOfD: *have just had a power nap*

Anyone out there having payment declined too even though available credit is way way below the limit?
avatar
BlueSharkCZ: Yeah, something about bank declining the payment on like game 25. No biggie thou, just used paypal instead.
I do use paypal for my GOG transactions :(.
avatar
nijuu: Odds next game is one of the Thief games? all 3 havent had a last chance yet....
Freaking GOG has probably realized most are waiting for Jade and the Thieves and will realize them last.

Grrrr @ GOG

*gasp*
How sexist of you! I'm offended.

Devoidless: So, anyone else here play VTM:B? Rhetorical question, of course you do. Right? Right?

Good.

Now that we've established that we all play it and agree that it's one of the best games ever made (it was in the fine print), how do we like to play it?
Prefer the Malks with their odd ability to see the truth through all the bull?
The Ventrue that shmoozes through life?

Maybe you like to get up close and snap some necks. Maybe you like taking them out from far away with shooty-bangs.
*Looks distraught, staring intently at a Stop sign* Oh sorry? I am... a Tremere. Tremere of course.

I spared the thread a rebuttal... :P

defusedbox: The only remaining game that could possibly take 3-4 hours to sell would be Cognition
I never saw it the last round, and I've been waiting since Friday to buy it on this last chance round.

As many as you want. It does have a sort of campaign, but it's pretty much open-ended. You can keep playing forever, at some point. And, believe me, you will want to do just that.

Depending on your sim-skill and how familiarized you are with these kinds of games, the campaign could take from as little as six hours to as much as 20.
