Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

ErekoseDM: how many hours of gaming is Theme Hospital?
It's an open world build your own hospital management sim; there's a good bit of longevity. Theme Hospital is a personal favorite of mine from years back.
Ahh theme hospital. Another bullfrog classic
Back in the days where whatever peter Mollyneux
Touched turned to gold.

Sad to see how far peter has fallen these days
With his over the top promises and lackluster
Games.

Sigh so sad to see the end of the once mighty bullfrog.

JustSayin: Waiting for NWN. It will probably be second to last. Right before Jade Empire.

defusedbox: I hope you don't miss either of those games!
I have Jade Empire already. I got it on the first wave.
I should be around for Neverwinter...unless we get Keaned again.

Buenro-games: It's a matter of laugh or death in Theme Hospital

funny slogan.
That slogan is pretty humerus.

Shendue: Going as off-topic in a videogame forum as to start arguing about politcs should be strictly forbidden IMHO.

Craig234: Funny thing, though, now there practically is no 'forum' for most people to discuss any important issues. There are no more 'tow halls all the people come to and talk'. Making the propagandists a lot more powerful.
Actually, there's plenty of forums, chats, message systems and social network to discuss any matter without annoying people that may be interested in politics and well informed as well, but has the common sense not to discuss the subject on totally unrelated forum with a very precise subject which is completely different. If you went to discuss about the end of the world or questioning the existence of god in a police station or in a grocery, chances are that they call some mental health institute.
It's 4 am here, i've been awake for too many hours and i'm not taking literal walls of spam words that have nothing to do with the subject of the forum as an acceptable thing, sorry.

ErekoseDM: how many hours of gaming is Theme Hospital?
Enough to justify buying it right now - GO GO GO!
avatar
Coelocanth: It's already half sold out in around 15 minutes. I wouldn't worry about it being too long (certainly not 2 hours).
Has someone made a Keane Hospital joke yet?
Theme Hospital...where laughter is the only medicine.

MadSweeney: I don't understand what people see in HotU, or even the community modules. Every NWN Hall of Fame game anyone's ever recommended to me has been rife with spelling and grammar mistakes, amateur voice acting (do it right or don't bother), and dialogue made by people who aren't the clever writers they think they are. Oh, and stop putting pop-culture references in your modules people--you're not funny.
I'm sorry you've been steered to sub-standard fare. Most of the mods I've played over the years haven't had any of those weaknesses. Then again, I've been playing NWN since it first came out, so I'm fairly demanding when it comes to the quality of the mods I play.

Snd me a PM (as a reminder) and I can recommend some mods for you based on your tastes.

The only remaining game that could possibly take 3-4 hours to sell would be Cognition
Odds next game is one of the Thief games? all 3 havent had a last chance yet....

TheJadedOne: snipped....
Just wanted you to know that I did read your words, since you took the trouble to write them. :)

Based on this comment, I think I shall pick up a copy of Theme Hospital.
