Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

mondo84: Keane Hospital selling well but it will probably slow down.

(I don't think it's Keane-worthy or even close, I just like working Keane puns into the title of every game.)
You got a Keane wit there! ;)
Why in the HELL did FIFTEEN HUNDRED COPIES of Theme Hospital get sent down the pike? It's a more niche title. Well known, but still niche. Is there that much of a market for hospital simulators?
Theme Hospital... Such great memories. But I'm broke right now soooooo... Bye bye.

Khalaq: I've been a GOG member since the days of beta. The community has pretty much been like this the entire time. That's one of the things about it that attracts new members.

GhostwriterDoF: Have you noticed, the harder the sale has gotten to endure, the less complaining there has been... ;)
Probably because all the people who came only to get freebies probably gave up waiting between slow burners :)
It seems like a lot of people were waiting for Theme Hospital, and I gave it a shot here, but 1500 is an awfully big number at this point even at 1.49. Still it may move well.
high rated
It's a shame that even the venerable Theme Hospital couldn't provide a cure for the cancer known as, "Politics On a Classic Video Game Forum".
3 purchases, 2 freebies, 2 give-aways on the forum so far during this promo. I feel bad for people that haven't managed to get any freebies yet though :(
Going as off-topic in a videogame forum as to start arguing about politcs should be strictly forbidden IMHO.

Schemilix: Back (if anyone remembers me) to report that those freebies really aren't rigged, I snagged the Chaos Engine a while back.
I have a meeting with my supervisor at 2pm tomorrow. I swear to god if Thief 2 or NWN Diamond come up I will flip 50 tables into the Sun.
I never thought the freebies were rigged at all... I already got Miasmata, Nexus (by accident) and The Chaos Engine as well, all three for free. And I'm using no script, I'm not clicking as fast as I can, it was just luck, I guess.

I did find that a little excessive. Not sure how the flavour of business simulator makes all that much difference though.

Keane is going to be quite infamous after this promo is over ^_^

In 12 minutes it's sold nearly 700 copies, so...yeah, we've seen worse. :)

And me.

Did I miss NWN Diamond yet? Been out for the past 7 hours.

Funny thing, though, now there practically is no 'forum' for most people to discuss any important issues. There are no more 'tow halls all the people come to and talk'. Making the propagandists a lot more powerful.
