Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Khalaq: High price, and most people already own at least one copy. Trying to sell an old game for $20 after it's been on sale for $5 multiple times is a difficult thing to do.
avatar
Devoidless: But...but...it is $5.
Exactly. GOG should have gone with an 80% discount and sold it for $4. Then it would have moved more easily.
hmm...should give me enough time to make dinner before the next one appears =/

GhostwriterDoF: I only made it about half way through before I got distracted enough to stop playing. I was amazed at all the puzzles, side stories, challenges and combat in that game. Visually it was stunning and ran very smoothly for such a busy world.

Daz12380: the puzzles were hard in it
Most puzzles were fun, but at least with the Riddler stuff (excluding his rooms, those were the highlight I thought) and the political prisoners , there were just so many. Fortunately, they didn't feel like a chore until my 3rd playthrough.

snip3rfire: Please make it next GOG! :)
I'm pretty sure the staff knows most of us are waiting for that game. That's why I'm afraid it's going to be the very last game offered during this sale...
I have a lot of extra copies of games, including Baldur's Gate, I'd trade for Sword of the Stars the pit dlc.

I third this.
Oh, no, please don't tell me I missed Assassin's Creed, that was the only game on this list I really craved! I was out walking my dog! Does anyone have a Neverwinterscape: Torment Starve for Nexus Shock and Jupiter Thief 2: Overrated Edition extra code? Now I'm really bummed, GOG sucks. Come on, Miasmata, stop keaning, lawlz! Adventure fans, grab Miasmata!

stg83: So far its Batman Arkham City because of the great story and the amazing ending not to mention everything was improved upon from Arkham Asylum which was also fantastic. Haven't played Arkham Origins yet.

Dude, you should really play though it especially if you have started the story then would really wanna find out how it all ends. You can finish the main story and do the side missions and other stuff later as well.

Of course. One of the games I was waiting for the most, and it goes by while I'm at work (and I missed it the first two times as well). The only game I managed to grab that I was really interested in getting was Startopia.

If anyone has an extra copy of one of the following, and want to sell it to me/trade it, please send me a message:

Space Colony HD
Sacred Gold
Total Annihilation: Commander Pack

And I might as well ask for Jade Empire, since I doubt I'll be able to grab that one either.
I so have my doubts over Miasmata. Have the feeling AC is gonna look grand compared to how this one will sell. I really really hope I am wrong.

Come on GOG release Jade and the Thieves!

There are quite a few of us waiting Jade Empire. I may buy an extra to save some poor soul who misses it. That is if I'm actually here when it finally drops...

ToxicCosmos: I do, but it runs just fine for me. :F

Devoidless: Deja vu.

I just wanted a...broader source of information. Science, you know. Yup.
Haha. Yea, I know. :p
