Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Draggon: Dang, looks like ACDC's 450 allotment was about 200 too much... :(
Difficult one to judge. Incredibly popular series, but does this version give anything that really stands out against the console versions? I have them all on xbox and ps3 anyway. AC3 was surprisingly enjoyable, if weak in the storyline. AC2 is still my favourite though, I find the later ones turn into too much of a "walk here and send other assassins in to do dirty work"
Hey, does anyone have at hand to copy paste the List of games with its prices and discounts and stuff? Im sure I saw it before posted, but cant find it now.

Just if someone has it at hand to re-post it.

Buenro-games: I really liked AC. I thought the details in the city were great, the mechanics of the game were pretty awesome too as well as the missions and the characters. The game was slightly more complex than your average game, I think, and it does have a 18plus rating (don't get why, really) but I really enjoyed it. Probably people didn't like the somewhat complex movement mechanics just how they bitched about the Witchers attack patterns. This is definitely a good game to own, play and have fun with. Really nice detailed characters and art. Standing a top the spires and looking around is wonderful.

Draggon: I will never, ever forget my first climb up a tall tower, inching out on the tiny 2x4, getting an awesome panorama of the surrounding city, and then swan-diving into a haycart... way, way cool...
The game is gorgeous. Just look at the screens in the game section. They almost look like prerendered backdrops but they are really part of the city were you move around. This is a beautiful game.

Yeah, the parkour along with the story is the best thing in the game.

mudd1: Why is Assassin's Creed stalling so badly? Seemed like a matter of mere minutes at first and then I suddenly thought my network connection was gone with the counter being practically frozen in place.
It's pretty common on consoles, I'd be surprised of most people haven't played it already. I grabbed a copy because this sale is warping my brain a little bit.

Have fun waitin'!

Xiko91: Ok last try. Is there a spare BG2 copy in here? :(
Xiko, sadly, I don't have any, I did, in fact, buy a BG2 extra copy, in addition to the one I had, but it was for a friend of mine that really wanted to try it...

I know you bought BG, right? That should keep you occupied until the Christmas sale, during which you can get BG2 pretty cheap. Unless, of course, you wanted it right now so you could do all that modding stuff of combining both games and transferring assets from BG2 to BG, which is understandable, but ultimately superfluous.

If someone is willing to give you a copy of BG2, well, cool. If not, enjoy your Baldur's Gate. It's amazing on its own and should keep you busy for quite some time.

The storyline wasn't too bad in it either. It was fairly entertaining through the whole game. But then, in the sequel it got super weird and convoluted. Then Native Americans and pirates happened and I don't even....
I really need some sleep, so if Jade Empire shows up, I hope I'll find someone with an extra copy who will trade it for System Shock 2, Riddick, Don't Starve or Planescape: Torment.

See you later :/
