Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Theme Hospital is $1.49? Oh man, I am going to snag that one. Okay, I got 3 left on my agenda. Although Alpha Centauri also looks amazing.

HexElf: I'm still waiting for Tomb Raider, Miasmata, Duke 3D, Spellforce Platinum, Theme Hospital and possibly Tropico 3.
I never played half of them before and the others I just sat down with briefly.

So what are you guys holding out for?
Freebies.:) I bought everything I wanted - HoMM 3 and 5, System Shock 2. One semi-impulse buy (Jade Empire), because the price was tempting. One full impulse buy - Beyond Good And Evil.
Waiting to see if Icewind Dale pops up right after this, I've been running to the computer every 20 minutes while working to see where this is going... I have two apartments to run a leaf blower at and furniture to move then a heavy metal flea market to attend, so if I could leave this sale behind and chime in for humor purposes, my weekend will be complete.

Jade Empire, but I haven't decided whether to get it for myself or as a gift to give away...
Come on Icewind Dale! :D
ANy opinions on Miasmata ?
I love how everyone is here helping each other through the long wait and keeping everyone who fall down along the way up to date when they come back <3
This is better than any stream chat or comments section that I've been to before.

johnnygoging: Where are these guys saying Jade Empire is mediocre? What are they comparing it to? Honestly Jade Empire is one of the best games made. Who could say different? Why would you? Jade Empire is nothing besides awesome.

JohnnyDollar: Just skimming through forums. Here's one thread I came across:
http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/jade-empire-any-good.51808/
alot of those guys were positive towards it. some of it wasn't

sounds like a bunch of elitists if you ask me. basically saying the same things that's trendy to say. it seems it's a bit trendy to hate on this game. this game is a BioWare game and it's a good game. sure it's a little linear but that doesn't matter. there have been games selling in this sale which are nowhere near the level of jade empire not at all.
Ive tried and tried and tried to get into Civ games. I purchased almost every game and Alpha Centauri is the only game that i could even sink a little time in. I dont know why, maybe its the setting.

CorranHorn: It´s all about taste, for example a person that loves BG could also hate Planescape Torment since even though they do look very similar they really aren´t.
Yes, but saying that a game is mediocre just beause you don't like it is not right, you must differ betwen the subjective "I did not like it" and the rather objective "It is mediocre" when judging a game.

Yeah, Alpha Centauri is good.
If you like space sims, then take a look at Wingman´s hangar, it´s a show for Star Citizen and I recommend it for everyone that loves Wing Commander or any other game Chris Roberts did.
