Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Hi to everyone, I first I want thank you community for your kindness has giving a lot, I have never return to you nothing...

I have some DN3D copies lying on my shelf, Some relatives not know appreciate it. if someone want a copy of duke nukem 3d say it... And thank you I will never forget when you give me fallout. :)

4xDuke Nukem 3D

and happy keaning! *trollface*
Well, let me be the first, if not the only, complainer/whiner to publicly apologize to anyone I might have made mad. It was not intentional. And I see now that if I wasn't to get a game on this sale then I wasn't meant to get it at this time.

You guys are right, Freebies are for the fast. I'm not fast enough.

Lets hope, in the future, GoG can make this sale more efficient. Maybe give a few more codes for the freebies... Run the sales at different times... Maybe use your purchase history to determine the sale you get......

LeonardoCornejo: The sale has some defects, the timing for example, I mean, sometimes a game stays there, unwanted, for so long it gets annoying, the freebies are so limited that you must be a master of the mouse trigger to get one, and the last chance thing grows annoying for the freebies, not to mention that it seems the selection method remains a mystery.

Still a wonderful way to sell games and force humans to reach their patience threshold without realy harming them.

GhostwriterDoF: Some of us are actually fond of humans...
I am fond of some humans, most of the humans in this thread seem likable for example, however reaching the patience limits is a way to improve patience, it is some sort of mental training, let's say GOG is helping us by placing Omerta right now.

D3athR3aver: @cakeface - Please make a post so that I can +1 you! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HOTLINE MIAMI! :D

cakeface: Okay :)
It sucks that I can only +1 you. If I could, I would +9001 you. Once again, thanks so much, you have really made my day! As soon as something good comes out again I will pay it forward

clcaztx: A question to pass the Omertà Keaning: Of the three Thiefs, which is the best?
avatar
YaTEdiGo: Still didnt played the 3, but IMHO Thief 1 is better than Thief 2, but both of them are awesome.
I've never played the third either. I'm unsure if I could even choose between 1 and 2. Both are amazing.
For me, I got.

Star Control 1+2
Master of Orion 1+2
Wing Commander 4
Sacred Gold
Total Annihilation
Total Annihilation: Kingdoms
Aquanox 2
Syberia
Blackwell Bundle

All but Bllackwell, Syberia and TA were impulse buys, the rest I grabbed due to the amazing price after looking them up on Youtube. Sacred in particular looked so amazing and I grabbed it even though it meant going over budget.

ahab: Back when games came in boxes manuals were more than three pages and people would pay the asking price for a good game.....long gone age

deathmyrk: I miss those days... I remember even when dos games came with interesting things like maps, code wheels, small artifacts. Some RPGs came with hardcover manuals at no extra charge. Now if you just want an instruction manual and a small cheap trinket you got to buy a special limited deluxe super first day edition for 150 bucks. When I buy a game, I want the game, but all the extra things that came with no additional charge made the experience much grander. I miss those days... Now, you'll be lucky if you get an instruction manual. I am glad that GoG includes a lot of extra freebies with the purchase of a game, especially the strategy guides.
Oh, yeah, I totally agree. The grand days of Infocom putting in all sorts of fun, crazy freebies with their games was what really started it all. The Ultima series could be counted on to put in a cloth map and other trinkets. Unfortunately that quickly turned into paper maps, then not even that.

On a side note, I got a documentary film on the history of Interactive Fiction, which is what those text adventure games were/are called. In it came a limited edition custom designed metal coin. It's fantastic, with engravings, double sided, about the size of a silver dollar and a nice heft to it - not stamped out of a car door or plastic...

Buy Omerta or you'll find a horse's head in your bed.

*Offer void where illegal.

YaTEdiGo: Just dont forget to pick up DEEKIN as adventure´s friend. And never abandon him!

By the way you should play the NWN1 campaign with a different character, and exp- 1 and 2 with other one, from level 1, and exp1 continues on exp2 (there are together 1 story)
avatar
JohnnyDollar: Thanks. It sounds like I may just skip the main campaign altogether. It seems to be universally loathed. If it's boring I definitely won't last long.
Yes, you could that.

The main campaign has it´s moments, not many frankly speaking, but some. So you can perfectly skip it.

I liked it, yes it´s not as good as Undrentide or the even better Hordes Of the Underdark but it´s not bad, if you compare the original NWN to the games that are being made today it´s very good.

Why, whatever do you mean?
He's onto something. Time for Operation Incognito and to disappear from posting in this thread.

zeffyr: 0,00$ on the account... Is the sale over for me? :-(
avatar
Faenwulf: Use a credit card.

And then buy Omerta. Please?
I don't have any credit card (maybe it's better - I'd buy all the catalogue at once!). But I've spent almost 20$ since the beginnig of the sale, still hoping to find a lost copy of any game ;-)
