Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

BHTrellis: I'm one of the complainers, admitedly, But I have yet to get a free item from anyone. I just hate freebies now since I always miss them. And I'm not stooping to begging for one.
I've tried for a ton of the free games and gotten none. No big deal, they're free so all it costs me is a push of the mouse button. But no luck so far. Understandable since there are thousands of others trying as well. I don't get why this makes people hate the sale though. The deals are still outstanding even if you don't get a free game.
Your life's got to be pretty empty and boring if you are complaining about a sale like this. It's way exciting and hilarious and the prices are insane. Considering what I'm getting, I don't feel bad about what I've spent.

YaTEdiGo: The NWN1 single player is .... mmmm boring, but the 2 expansions are awesome, specially because DEEKIN, DOOM DOOM DOOOOOOM!!!

JohnnyDollar: Alright, if I get it I'm going to hold you to that. If I'm disappointed I'll turn into your GOG stalker shadowing you everywhere.
Just dont forget to pick up DEEKIN as adventure´s friend. And never abandon him!

By the way you should play the NWN1 campaign with a different character, and exp- 1 and 2 with other one, from level 1, as exp1 continues on exp2 (there are together 1 story)

Psykopat89: Been away for about 5-6 hours. Please tell me - did I miss Icewind Dale and/or The Witcher 2?
You missed both!! Sorry. Just kidding xD

Selinea: Yeah, as much as I like the fact that a lot of people on here are very nice and giving, I'm a little bit annoyed that people who complain are often getting rewarded (not even just those posts of, oh darn, I missed this, which I can somewhat understand, but some people actively post stuff like "this sale sucks because I missed blank", and then they get free stuff, like where's the fairness in that? Way to shaft all the quiet/polite people), thus fostering an atmosphere of people constantly complaining.

Well, if you ask for help I'm sure someone will be there for you. You can't expect a random gift to reach you without someone knowing you would like one :)

I would give you a gift, but already parted will all extra copies I bought tonight...
A question to pass the Omertà Keaning: Of the three Thiefs, which is the best?
To get time to pass, what game do you come to think off if I say DMA Design=)

ahab: Back when games came in boxes manuals were more than three pages and people would pay the price of a good game.....long gone age
Back when games were actually good and finished products. Today you pay for betas.

Well said. Too many sour grapes here, to be honest. Mainly because they missed out on freebies blaming it on scripts and bots :/

groze: YES! I came back and I didn't miss Omerta.

Not that I want to buy it, just witnessing its presence once again.
avatar
GhostwriterDoF: It is selling well, since the price is Omerta's biggest issue...
To me, its biggest problem is actually being "strategy / economic / historical". If a good "tpp / adventure / point and click" was on sale for that price, I'd buy it.

AttObl: Hang on a minute, can someone please tell me if Beyond Good and Evil had it's last chance?
Yep, it's gone.
