Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

On the brighter side - only 45 copies of Omerta left!
YES! I came back and I didn't miss Omerta.

Not that I want to buy it, just witnessing its presence once again.
I don't actually hate the sale. I actually like it. It's kind of like watching stock market or something, maybe not. In any way, I normally make sarcastic snips and complaints to humor myself with some of the irony on the sales. Not a terrible sale at all, considering many people paid full sales price at some time long ago...

It is selling well, since the price is Omerta's biggest issue...
Been away for about 5-6 hours. Please tell me - did I miss Icewind Dale and/or The Witcher 2?

Selinea: Yeah, as much as I like the fact that a lot of people on here are very nice and giving, I'm a little bit annoyed that people who complain are often getting rewarded (not even just those posts of, oh darn, I missed this, which I can somewhat understand, but some people actively post stuff like "this sale sucks because I missed blank", and then they get free stuff, like where's the fairness in that? Way to shaft all the quiet/polite people), thus fostering an atmosphere of people constantly complaining.

Where I'm from, the squeaky wheel gets a punch in the mouth.

nijuu: Based on how this sale is going, trading will be busy for a while.... and then there's heaps of giveaways people put up before Xmas :)
Yeah, I imagine the giveaway action in the forums is going to go through the roof! :) Plus US Black Friday sales and then the various holiday season sales on top of that. I wonder if that's why GOG has so many web developer career positions available currently? :)
is there anyone so kind to post the list of games that were on sale since torment? please!

There will be a lot of people who have missed out for various reasons.only problem with trading is ..too many are trying to trade cheap indie bundles for GOG games.

Back when games came in boxes manuals were more than three pages and people would pay the asking price for a good game.....long gone age

I had to call my ISP because the interwebz was insanely laggy and slow, i made a speedtest and it was running at about 1 Mb in download with 250+ ms ping.
They fixed it in no time. I guess the MUX door was saturated due to high data traffic. now it's back to normal. Maybe now i've a small chance for a freebie.
