Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

itchy01ca01: The books are pretty amazing. Lots of spoilers though :P

jackster79: Do you mean reading the books are spoilers?

I would have thought it is the other way around. I think I heard that the first book matches up with the first season, and that since I watched Season 1 that would have spoiled reading the first book.

How far off am I on those statements?
The books will spoil the upcoming seasons.
Well, these are the people I know who were waiting for Nexus but missed it:

AttObl
getohesch
tjfrit01

Seeing as how I'm poor, I was only able to buy one additional copy, and that one is going to AttObl. I wish I could do more, but our economy sucks at the moment. Sorry, guys.

Russonc: Jade Empire please...... .... I am now having a love/hate relationship with this sale....
avatar
jackster79: That makes two of us.

I really hoped that at least one of the two I wanted would have appeared by now since I am expecting to leave shortly, but that does not seem to be happening.
Oh, believe me, you two are not alone in this :')

I just hope they give us Jade today, in a matter of 3-4 hours. Anything later than that and I won't be able to buy it, due to sleep and - if it pops up tomorrow - due to insane internet limitations at my workplace (worst filters I've seen anywhere :/). It'd be sad to leave this sale after all this time and on such bad note...

Tolmar: I think this guy may be a little too upset with his ex

Man, that is overkill. I could think of a lot of better things to spend $7000 on. Like buying the rest of the copies of Resonance so we can see the next sale...
Anyone's got a Rogue Legacy? I have some Steam Keys to trade for it.

Ungunbu: you did not sleep in the last 24 hours did you?

Velgor: Sleep? Sleep is for the weak! That's what coffee and Redbull is for.
i can't beleive gog was able to prevent thousands of people to sleep for so many hours (and i do include myself)

Tolmar: Anyone one indecisive about which of the new consoles to get?

I'll get the PS4, but at a later date since Sony needs to iron out some issues.

I would say read the books before seeing the episodes. The reason being there is a LOT going on in the story and the show follows it pretty well. However, there's a ton of stuff that can't be covered, so knowing the story via the books prior to seeing the show really helps you to understand what's going on - and what's coming up! For instance, I KNEW all about the infamous Red Wedding and was eagerly awaiting the event. Even knowing what was to come did not ruin the surprise.

Also, my wife and roommate haven't read the books, so I tend to push the pause button rather often and explain a few things...
Get ready folks, Resonance is down to ten copies...
Wonder how much I'm actually saving on this promo seeing as I have a) bought more games than I originally had on my wishlist, and b) kept the computer on for more than 72 hours, using more electricity than normal.
I got the really bad feeling that if Jade or Thief pop up, they are going to last less than 30 seconds. Gotta be on my toes.

itchy01ca01: Yup. Awesome, funny game. Although it is on the older side...

foxworks: I agree. Well-suited I think.
Yes I also think it will work, I only experienced it int the form of Startopia (in that game you had to take care of your workers and customers and make sure infections where stopped before they had a chance to spread among the inhabitants). I read about Theme Hospital and I remember it was pretty similar in the way you played it, could be mistaken though.

I have thought that through and am okay with that. For me personally, it is much easier for me to know what is going to happen before-hand when watching as opposed to reading. It takes me a lot longer to get through a book, and not knowing the outcome is one of the driving forces to finishing a book. To each their own, of course.

Neither, wait till the next edition comes out and they've fixed the bugs. There's talk of MS upping the graphics on the Xbox One so it's better than the PS4, but who knows. For me it'll be the exclusives, I'm hoping Epic do a Pendulum Wars game now the Gears of War franchise is pretty much dead
Did I miss Tomb Rader 1+2+3?
