Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Buenro-games: Nexus flew. Silly GOG can't seem to get the demand vs supply issue right.
They seem to be way off on point and clickers....
This is so intense I decided to bring my laptop with me to the laundromat. Thank God for Wi-fi!

Suloyapla:
Nah that can't be right the sales were going really fast then and that's a weekday :s

BHTrellis: Ok, I give up. Things to do, places to go, people to kill.

Looks like no NWN for me. But thanks for the ride, GoG. Happy I at least got Anvil of Dawn and Sacred Gold cheap.

Why, oh why does GoG not allow logins on my android phone?

zarquon: Hmm, I've had no issues logging in on my android tablet...
Same here, my Nexus 7 has allowed me to roam a bit around the house and to wake up in the middle of the night in a panic, check the current sale - read forum for list of items gone and then fall back in a fitful sleep for another 20 minutes.

drhome91: Planescape Tornment was in the Last Chance?

P.S.
Sorry for any language issue;)

itchy01ca01: I missed Planescape? :( :(
I'm guessing they're going to save Plainscape for last just to keep us here till the end ;)

mm3n: Eh, if you tell me (us?) what is that :|

Gunsik: something like nickname for example Genghis Khan, Mahatma Gandhi. alexander great and so on
Probably the questions are lame, but you mean our internet nicknames? If it's that, I'm m3inity (first name - Mariya, fav number - 3 and a random Trinity in the end (don't ask, by the time I made that up The Matrix was popular and well, the symbol and associations are quite interesting). I sometimes make it shorter down to mm3n like in this case here.
Has anyone missed the privateer sale?

SpiderFighter: LOL! Nah, only about a third. :) I'm the same way as you...even if I like a certain genre, I may not like every game within that genre. Some of those games on my Mix I grabbed during a really cheap sale if I happen to have the money and am not sure enough about a game to buy it at full price (which is what I did with Startopia, Wargame: European Escalation, and WC:Privateer during this sale).
avatar
Shendue: Of all the games i bought during this sale, i may honestly say 2 or 3 i bought solely basing my judgement on forum praise. The fact they are cheap doesn't hurt, either, since if they suck it's not like i've wasted loads of money.
Exactly that. Keep thinking along those lines, and you'll own half the freakin' catalog in no time! =D

Christmas Sale, here we come!!!

Soccorro: Has anyone missed the privateer sale?
Me pretty much, but that was due to wallet issues. In some future sale I might grab it.

And they are not even classic adventure games like King's Quest but Indies. :/

(Which I support but too many copies are being offered)

Or they just got it right... Sell more unpopular games and less popular games...
those with country specific game pricing problems anywhere, look into changing your vpn.
It is actually pretty easy to look like your computer is from almost anywhere - look into it.

...bought assassins creed 4 for $1.65 with a russian vpn and a pricing mix up at origins.... :)
Does GOG actually do anything about the SPAM reviews? I checked out the reviews for Resonance to see if it was worth buying, and found a buttload of spam. They're from earlier this year so they must have been reported already...
