Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Hey, that's fun! I fixed the link.

Ungunbu: yeah --- i did not mean gog guys did a typo and intended to sell less copies --- i was trying to say that 750 will take a lot of time and that would have been better to decide for a lower number
Probably not. It's Sunday, and it's a big-name franchise, and it's as low as the prices go (apart from free). They're already almost a third gone.

cyxceven: Great. Missed Aquanox again.
Now this is a complaint I can relate too and find legitimate. People complaining about not getting Don't Starve when it stalled for hours, people raging about not getting Thunderscape and Retro City Rampage when those titles stood there for almost half a day, combined. If those guys missed them, they have no one else to blame but themselves.

But this I understand, this seems in fact unfair, AquaNox went *fast*. Granted, not Neverwinter Nights fast, but, still, for the game it is, selling out around the 5 minute mark is pretty fast.

Good sir/gentle madam, I feel your pain.

LOL

SpiderFighter: Kind of a tangent, but it always amazed me how the Nintendo versions of all the Ultima games always looked better than the PC versions. I can't think of another game series where that was the case.
avatar
wanderlust76: The original Ultima games are so old even I can't play them. Has anyone bought Ultima 1-3 and actually played through them?
I played most of the way through the first one (just because I'm a completist), then decided there were better ways to spend my time. Like shaving my tongue with a cheese grater, for example.

CarrionCrow: All right. One down, four to go, with a ten percent chance. Sucky odds. lol.
I'm at over 1/8 odds myself, but the games I'm looking for now are all zippers anyways.

Baldur's Gate Original Saga
Icewind Dale Complete
Planescape: Torment
and Thief Gold to Three...
I just bought WC:P. Are you proud of me? :D
SOB I'm screwed this Privateer is going to take forever and I gotta leave in like 1.5 hours. Oh well back to playing some SS2 I guess.

I still see people not knowing about games that got Kickstarted and was posted on most popular sites like IGN, Gamespot, Kotaku, Giantbomb, Rock paper shotgun and even Total Biscuit talked about. GoG has gotten many more new users who probably even didn´t know about them...before this crazy sale=).

That's how I felt about Giana Sisters. I watched an episode when, whatever slowseller was before that, was in the 20s, looked away, turned back after 15 minutes and saw that Rayman was on. Didn't even realize that Giana Sisters was up and wouldn't have thought that it goes so fast.
Its getting slow... someone should post something about this sale in the Star Citizen forums :P

People there dropping millions of dollar a week, maybe some havent played one of the grandpas of space sims :P

I commend you on your taking a bullet for the team, and as a fellow for-the-team bullet taker I assure you your acts of kindness will not go unnoticed.
