Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

EX-Deimon: Super Mario World, surely.
Same here, actually! I used to be more partial to SMB3, but repeated plays of World really made me appreciate how absolutely imaginative, inventive, and innovative it was over the previous games. Even something as small as standing Koopas still gets to me!
Well I blame that the bar was moving too fast for Giana Sisters, I went weak and bought it, downloading and will report how it is compared to Dust :)

Now give me Alpha centauri, I need my sleeeeeeeeeeep

DrRoxo: Has gogbot fallen? Or do we have another brave soul to post remaining titles?
KMJX already did.

Garran: Some of the really big-draw titles have shown up with much more than 600 in this round - Didn't System Shock 2 have 1200 or thereabouts?
It had 1500 copies in the third round.

Raverok: THE LIST

Games that have already been offered on the "Last Chance" round:
GoG confirmed that anything listed as "FREE" in this "Last Chance" Round will be up again with a price.
*snip snippety snip*
Thanks! Uprated!

Also, so many games yet to come :O
I wake in bed from such a fright
Such pain will not let me sleep the night
'least I miss Neverwinter Nights
Hmmm... if i lay down i might not wake up for 6-8 hours. I highly doubt Keane legends will run more than a hour or two. Screw it another cup of coffee... think ive drank more than a dozen cups in the last 18 hours.

deathmyrk: I gotta know. Did the other rounds run this slow?
Most games sold fairly fast the 1st round. Some of them sold very fast. Like NWN2 for example, it sold like 500-1000 copies the first round in probably less than 1 minute.

Raverok: Any good person would like to gift Rayman Origins for some Steam ( one Origin ) keys ? For more info PM me.
Is Skullgirls one of the steam keys?

I know what you mean, i've actually played SMB3 way more than SMW because I never got to own SMW till much later. SMW just improves on everything the previous ones did. Besides, Yoshi :P

I have to dissapoint you. Only these left :
Botanicula ( Steam )
Red Orchestra 1 or 2 ( Steam )
Limbo ( Steam )
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising ( Origin )
Well, since it stalled. Might as well get back to playing King's Field, maybe Geneforge, maybe study...

bradelli: Rayman Origins is the best platformer you will ever play. It is great with 2 players too. I have it on the Xbox so no real need for it here, but try it if you haven't!

N0w3gg: Rayman Origins is a great place to start with Rayman, but best platformer is arguable.
Yeah, I personally prefer many other platformers over Rayman Origins. Even previous Rayman games. I just don´t like that "run everytime" philosophy, and that "flash game" feeling I get everytime I play it. I liked Super Meat Boy more (being another "run nearly everytime" game), although I didn´t enjoy it that much for the same reasons.

Anyway, I would certainly score both of them over 8 anytime. There´s just too many awesome platform games out there. It´s like saying Call of Duty 4, Doom 2 or Quake III are the best shooters ever. They are certainly very famous, they are awesome... But if you check all shooters out there, you may find you prefer some others (I love those three too). :)
I'm just here to collect my copies of Age of Wonders: SM and Nexus and then get the hell outta here. HOW MUCH LONGER GOG HOW MUCH LONGER AAHHH

Faeja_Vu: I don't have a copy, no, but unless I'm mistaken that's a side scrolling action game. While certainly not the same, a number of the oldest games that I've played are that style (Jazz Jackrabbit as an example), which I played entirely with my keyboard.

mantarrochen: Would you mind telling what the keyboard layout while playing these games? Movement, Jump, Use, Magic attack and Special needs to be bound. In Rogue Legacy you only have the letter and arrow keys to bind to...

I think the most confusing is that WASD isnt for movement any more (with the default keys) I think I cant wrap my head around that. Also that UP means USE and for jumping you have an extra key.
Assuming you're talking about side scrollers, I almost always use the arrow keys for movement. Jump varies game to game, sometimes it's the up arrow, other times I use space bar. For games that essentially have three "action" keys, so like attack, defend and jump I'll use zxc or asd usually. c/d being the attack hey, x/s jump, and z/a defend.

In the case of Rogue Legacy, without knowing more than I currently do (such as if there is a move up key for ladders), I would probably set it up as such:
Jump: Up arrow, Use: Z, Magic attack: X, Special: D (since apparently shift wouldn't be an option), and assuming there is a regular attack button too, that'd be C.

FoxySage: I loved Jazz Jackrabbit. It one of my top 5 platform games.
I consider Jazz to be my very first game ever. Nearly two decades later and I still love it to death. Glad to see another Jazz fan, most times I mention it people have no clue what I'm talking about. :(
