Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Well I'm not only punch drunk from lack of sleep but just plain drunk. I was having Keane flashbacks. Have to numb the pain...

deathmyrk: Thanks! I'll definitely do that. The keyboard is also making Shadow Man much harder than it should be also.
I dont know about Shadow Man, but I just had the same experience with Rogue Legacy from this very sale. It is virtually unplayable with keyboard.

Nah, I beat it quite thoroughly with keyboard. It's doable. It may be a bit harder, but I'm a PC elitist, so... yah...

tobias683: Grew up watching Classic Who. Love Newho too. Matt Smith is awesome. I'm gonna be sad to see him go, but man, I am so looking forward to Saturday 11/23/2013! Doctor Who 50 year Anniversary!
My wife and I JUST started watching from the 2005 reboot. Two episodes left in the 9th doctor season. (There's something inherently geek-rotic about hearing her say "TARDIS".) :-)

tobias683: Only 50 to go....only 50 to go....only 50 to go....
If GOG would have held the worst selling 5-10 games for last, they would probably be on sale through the new year!
I went to check this "Omerta" you keep posting about, and it looks WAY more scary than Keane-the-eternal.

If that one comes out is gonna be like pulling the plug, game over.

DukeDuvel: Aww... you shouldn't have said.... you shouldn't have said that!

Now there will be a schism... please don't go, the drones need you VS please go, the kids need you ;-)

llflawedll: Had the same prob with my kids. .. terms to make sure drones need me from 10 to 2 in the morning. ... sometimes drones win lol
Just watch out you don't start giving drones cereal and nerve stapling your kids...

Minmataro: This is embarrassing, Ultima Underworld should be selling just as fast any other classic... maybe everyone that wanted it got it the first two passes or maybe people are scared away by the graphics.

Its a shame tbh.

groze: I second your feeling. Overlooking Ultima Underworld on account of dated graphics is plain dumb. Especially at this price, and for two titles...
What's wrong with the graphics? They look better than ultima 1-2-3 and 4

truhlik77: Add one more for Planescape and your poem will be complete :)

Oofles: Nameless ones wait for chance events
Doing actions they soon resent
As they suffer for Planescape: Torment

I cheated and had to google for torment rhymes.
Nice. You really make waiting more pleasant. +rep for that.
Trying again - anyone who has Hotline Miami want to trade it for Ultima?

EDIT: this is the last time I am asking, honest :P

I dont know I always confuse UP and JUMP, jumping and attacking are also tricky, dont get me started on down attack (should try that extra option maybe) and in general timing is very difficult this way. I wish the devs would have taken a little more time to implement mouse&keyboard.

What? Text-mode graphics are amazing!

It is just a great show. I know some people who are purists (my dad) who refuse to watch the new stuff because it's not the old stuff.....I know, it makes no sense. The direction they have taken the show since rebooting it in 2005 is just phenomenal. I have cried more than once watching that show. I'm not afraid to admit it. It's very rare that a TV SHOW will cause that reaction in me. Most movies can't even do that. It really is top notch tv.
Wow, 08:20 already. Guess I should probably consider getting some sleep.
